Read my post again : he doesn't care about the $, so why would he charge 20$+ for a free game you can get everywhere else ? Aside the braindead required, it makes no sense at all. And, again in my post, IF he ever does it (like when the game is finished), it won't be anywhere before ~10 years. But then it'd still be free everywhere else, so no reason to put it on Steam.

Other games that double/triple dip income can do whatever they want, doesn't need to make sense too

You could always ask the developer directly Monday through Friday when he is streaming on Picarto. This would answer your question and you would get it straight from the source, rather than the hearsay and conjecture of anyone on this site.

As far as I recall it, DC doesn't want to "sell" the game (so we'd be talking about a free release) and he certainly doesn't want any additional work and/or interference by steam. Having Patreon setting limits is bad enough...

So it's not like DC seems to be against it per se, he just doesn't seem to bother.

Then again, the added reach would very likely benefit the game finincially in the mid- to long run...

I remade a lot of the in game sprites using Stable Diffusion. Is this something anyone else would be interested in seeing released as a full mod?

It was not the easiest thing because of the layered image system the game uses where images are stitched together, but i think the end result is alright.

Man, it looks incredible, but the alpha blending is indeed bad, but its easy to fix it.
They look like characters from porn manhwas... its very good.

Speculation is pointless, nothing is going to change. He will still make a boat load of money, even if it is trending downwards. Obviously, this change hasn't seemed to affect his choices; he hasn't added staff, changed his distribution/funding scheme, or his choice to keep adding on to the modernization update. He is not going to work ahead on Rhona, albeit some art. You can wring your hands all you want, it isn't going to change. Let me repeat, not going to change.

7 Days to Die has been in EA for nearly a decade now. I don't think Steam gives a shit if you finish your game.

Ish, they will remake her route in 3+ years when she wins a poll. And the "choice" will either get nuked or let you get both in the same run. But it's pretty far off and the split path debate isn't ending soon, so anything goes till then

Only Kevin so far. You could argue about Erik's 3some being semi-gay, but that's meh at best, and possibly removed once he gets his remake

Plans can always change, but as far as I recall, they don't want MC to be locked of the prom by these choices.

As there's Yumi connected to their story, too, you'd probably get one branch where it's mainly about Helen, the nun and a scene or so for Mia (as some kind of naughty friends with benefits end or so) and one where Harold gets back with Helen and as such MC gets together with Mia and there's the possibility to romance Yumi.

But we'll only know once they actually release it. DC tends to change his mind on these things at times.
