i think coding is awfully slow this time,on the last updates,coding was going just as fast as art,but on this one it barely developed yet(maybe they could be waiting art gets dones all at once so they can go forwards)....what surprised me is the speed posing is having,its going way faster than Roxxy's update....
That is what it seems to be, there is a good chunk of coding that has been started, but is not done for some reason, and since it did not progress much from last time, it seems like they are having to wait anyway. They might have had to work on that pizza bug too.

For the coding and art gap, if I had to guess, I think it's because of all the rework DC is doing with the art. Not only the sprites for Diane but also roughly half the scenes are being redrawn or partialy redrawn to match the style, so probably a nice chunk of the art bar is for that, instead the code bar doesn't have this because the scene doesn't change, so it's already coded. Just a wild guess, but it would make sense.
They are mostly still chibi, but they are improving, have you seen the last chapter of StarChannel34? It's pretty cute. He did add a full screen scene this time too, though not animated. Np, hope you enjoy, R&M just now updated.
Akabur does some nice work,shame it takes so much time for him to deliver it,his humour....fuck,its priceless,i love Innocent Witches(but Sad Crab makes it so slowly that i even forget the game is still being made),the humour is very similar there,and the art is kinda well done,but these russians i just mentioned make DC look like a maniac who delivers updates all the time.....
In the end that's the reason why DC is now one of the top 4 creators on patreon and others aren't. Yes, most of those slower and somewhat "milky" devs do make a good buck but I guess none of their patreons really trusts them and quite a few patreons will leave disappointed after a couple of months and never pledge again to that dev. DC is just working very transparent and that's why people trust him.
Akabur is trying to speed up his updates by making them smaller, I just hope he doesn't rush the quality to meet the needs of impatient people. Quality over quantity as they say. XD As much as I love his stuff, it gives me more time to play other games.

Very possible, on the other hand, that might make it easier, since most of it is rewriting, rather than doing it from scratch, hard to say. Can't say I know that much about how he is changing it, but we will see.
Saves will not get done until people vote for it, but there's ways to get money fast and avoid minigames, and most of the content is not necessary to replay all over again.
