Yeah, it is a bug, thought they fixed it with the last patch though... It is best to only do one arc at a time, and not multitask stories. Hopefully that will improve as he continues to update the old code.

Well, if you want fast action there are always games which are designed that way like there are so many of them or pornhub. I find it pretty sad that people really want every game to be the same and that story and meaningful choice apperantly is appreciated so little. Given that it's a porn game it's clear that many people will simply think with their balls, but still ...

By the way he usually stops streaming around this time, when all left to do is spoiler stuff, and resumes streaming when the art is done and he starts on next update. So nothing to be worried about.

I know but he basically ran out of streamable content weeks ago which was really early compared to prior updates. All I was hinting at it that the progress seems a little bit odd this time, which can either be because it's a big rework with fewer new scenes in general or maybe because they indeed have to wrap up another small update which eats away time.

While I certainly appreciate your view my experience with games on this forum point to sts being a fast moving get to the action game where you get to sleep with virtually everyone. The grind has been having to play the game from the start every time an update drops. Where, to my eye anyway, it appears the majority of games seem to drag out the relationship thing to absurd lengths. These are porn games - not the great american novel. As an aspiring writer I appreciate your defense of story and story options but I don't think this is a game that has ever presented in that way. Again, just my views.

The grind has been having to play the game from the start every time an update drops.

At least that will be gone before the dating system is going to be introduced. Once the savegames work we won't have to replay the game again.

The dating system is supposed to add quite a bit to some stories. I think right now you can feel that something is missing in for example Roxxy's story where the dating is supposed to happen (after you beat Dexter) and it'll help a lot if MC actually has to spend a few minutes going on dates with her, get smaller stuff like blowjobs, etc. and then fuck her instead of going straight to business.

Well, it has been advertised partly as a visual novel from day one. I mean it's literally one of the first words in the patreon text, which says "Summertime Saga is a high quality Dating Sim/Visual Novel game in development!" and I think that should mean there is at least some meaningful story. After all erotic visual novels are popular and successful genre in for example japan. Sadly most western players seem to have a different approach and do not view it from a game's or novel's perspective but always see this kind of game primarily and sometimes even purely as porn.
