As far as character consistency goes there really isnt.
If anything MC has shown a reluctance towards Dom&Sub play(Roxxy pretty much had to pressure him into it for rp and even then he keeps asking whether he should stop).
While I do have a feeling he will get some development in that direction in Annie´s part(which Im not particularly fond of,MC not being into every kink under the sun actually gives him some more personality,distinguishing him a bit more from your usual blank self insert)for now he hasnt and even the Helena deal seemed to make him uncomfortable.
Not to mention going that route would be out of character for Mia too as well as destroy her niche in the roster(ie innocent next door girl).

As far as the actual backstabbing goes,both cases are MC going to do something for someone and then doing the opposite contrary to his prior established intentions(and seemingly out of nowhere at that,which is why I dont think DC handles those branching points well at all)and while the destruction of Mia´s family certainly has worse repercussions(and no,I dont agree with the assesment that the "new status quo" is better,seemingly completely ignoring poor Mia,we know for a fact that the alternative works out fine and leads the pair back into a stable and happy relationship)that still doesnt change the fact its backstabbing.

Guys, I understand that a lot of people are disappointed that Jenny's scenes are getting removed, but like, I don't think it has anything to do with SJWs. Pretty sure discord lit up after DC posted that he was getting rid of the scene. Tbh I never thought the scene was that great to begin with, and will probably be removed in order to make Jenny's storyline much better than it already is, not because it involves "rape," and certainly not because a handful of offended patrons cried about it on a streaming channel.

I can agree with this for the most part. As for the whole "domming is out of character thing..." meh. People change their kinks all the time. Hand a girl a strap-on and she might discover she has a dominant side. As long as it isn't malicious, I feel like it can fit MC just fine. I agree that destroying Mia's family is a horrible thing to do in order to get at her mom though. That is totally out of character, even if it wasn't on purpose.

I think the Jenny removal stuff might fall under the same circumstances of removal as the incest stuff - credit card company rules.

An associate of mine worked in the porn business and he used to tell me all about weird porn rules done to appease credit card companies. I'm pretty sure Patreon content is more or less exempt from that. I'm no expert, but I would assume the porn industry ran in to problems through distributing channels, whereas Patreon content is supporting the artist, not necessarily the product. If someone tried to sell a game based solely around rape fantasy through a mainstream distributor I doubt it would get very far.
