It was retconned in April 2018. There hasn't been that kind of content, officially, for more than 6 years. As you can see - it hasn't hurt the fandom:

That version has maybe at best 6 percent of the content the pre-tech game has.

Yes, 21.0.0.5091 is the latest version. But the older version 0.20.16 has a lot more content.

The creator is currently working on the "Tech Update" which is a complete overhaul of the game.
That revision began over two years ago!

The creator "DarkCookie" is known for his slow work but no one expected it to take this long.
The "Tech Update" is far from finished and will be released bit by bit.
It will take months until the full scope is reached again and real new content will come.

After the "Tech Update" is finished new content for Rhonda, Annie and Judith is planed.
But we will all be old and gray before we see any of it.

well that was something i knew before it was explained... but thanks i guess. every landlady, stepson game is built this way to be modified with a simple wincest patch that has a cute code line in there basically saying: if name = "landlady" {name.change("mom")}"
or something of that sorts.

There is a relation-tweak for v.0.21. It allows to change the relations manually ingame and it works very well.

The incest community has always been very vocal. Given that the game did well even after DC removed the incest - even though quite a few people over here said nobody would play it anymore - I kinda doubt that the vast majority of players really cares.

As to why people like it? Well, it's just a fetish among many...

If there is any silver lining here is that we're only getting a slice of Debbies story so people will know if the appeal of her character is getting gutted and hopefully they take the backlash into account on the next update.

Frankly I'm not sure how they could salvage this, if this really is the direction DC is going. It was fine when Debbie was the "landlady", Jenny was a 'fellow tenant', etc, and we could just use mods to get around it and get back to the original relationships; since, lets be real, that was what drew a lot of us in and kept us around.

But if everybody really are going to be story-locked into just being permanently disjointed acquaintances, then it's hard to take it as anything less than a slap in the face to those of us who have stuck beside DC through everything these past few years.

I mostly agree with what youre saying but from what Stray was saying, the depravity of Debbies story was axed. Essentially he said that in Debbies original story if you tried to get too far along with her Debbie she would try to stop it before they went further and then start up again to hit the next goal post. Essentially how her story is now incest or no. It sounds like in the new version Debbie gives in a lot easier and doesnt try to push the goal post back of where their relationship is. And I agree with Stray that sounds like a downgrade.

This is not what this conversation in the video is about. It has nothing to do with incest or not. It's about how they are handling Debbie's reluctance in the rework. It has nothing to do with what you are implying. You've overblown this. They are simply talking about how the procession of Debbie's reluctance slowly dissipating as Anon and Debbie moves forward in their sexual activities.

The same mods will still do what you want them to do with relationships.

Complaining about miniscule differences between "landlady" and landlady are Henny Penny/Chicken Little hyberbole.

There is nothing said in that video that changes ANYTHING that has been happening for the past 6+ years since the initial change of relationships. Absolutely nothing. Ya'all are being ridiculous.
