With such a large amount of donations each month, creators have every incentive to extend their projects as long as possible. As long as the project is ongoing, people donate; once the project is finished, people stop donating. Even if they start a new project afterward, there's no guarantee they'll earn as much. So, spacing out updates, doing complete reworks (sometimes multiple times), etc., allows them to buy time with the donors. Working hard would simply mean finishing faster and losing donors.

Its been a few years since i followed this game. What happened? Seemed like it was one of the premire games at a time with on time upadates and stuff then it became like that lust and power game i think were i guess hes removed content that was once in the game and stuff.

They said every two months they are releasing updates with new engine rolling out the old content in the new resolution and new animations sprinkled in. That's cool and all but by that math shits gonna take till like 2026 to finish just getting back to the point before this whole "rework" and this picture of the roadmap shows they only did 3 things in the first update....
