absolutely not. the man, the myth, the legend, darkcookie would never under any circumstances allow this gravy train to dry up so quickly. it will continue for a long time, even then the game wont be finished until the money dries up, and even then it will just get the abandoned tag as it will be left in whatever state it is the moment the money stops. thats how a peak performance scammer like the big DC rolls. always maximizing cashflow and minimizing effort like the legend he is. he's a true inspiration.

actually, the example you use yourself proves that this is in fact a scam. and the massive difference between them.
you see, simps who give darkcookie money for him to make content for this game have been scammed, because he took the money and did not make more content. there is in fact less right now.
however, in stark contrast, when a simps give the e-thots money to take off their clothes or get in a hot tub, the thot actually takes off her shirt or gets in the hot tub... thus they were not scammed and got exactly what they paid for.
regardless of how you value the... uh.. product? (personally ive been i pirate for over a decade and pay for nothing) in your example, the simp gets exactly what he wants, but with darkcookie there has been nothing worth anything in 5 years. they do not get the product they paid for, thus definitionally it is fraud. that is to say, a scam by all metrics.

there is a big difference between actively scamming a stealing peoples money, and digitally downloading something that you would never buy in the first place. our lord and savior Gabe Newell knows that. these days id even argue that most online piracy is morally justified.
these days the scammer is the rich prick or corporation stealing peoples money, the internet pirate is the robin hood stealing from the scammers.

Instead of complaining, I am just going to keep my pre-tech version with the naughtifying patch and just enjoy it on repeat until the update catches up.

I also can't complain because I don't financially support this project (although I did years back, but like many others, I stopped when the tech update seemed never ending and new content stopped being released), so yeah... I'ma go with the flow.

Do I have room to gripe about the time it takes for this all to come together because I have given DC my money at some point? Maybe. Am I going to? Hell no. If you all didn't notice, this site has PLENTY of stuff to occupy your time while I now freely wait for these updates to come out.

Wow I should have read the comments before downloading this, I had no idea going in that it was completely gutted. I fully understand wanting to rework things but do so a little at a time so it minimally impacts the amount of content available. The is barely anything left by comparison, only Jenny's content is still intact and seemingly no one else that I can find. It's horrendous, I'd be more interested in throwing money at the abandoned game as a thank you to the dev and support this rancid carcass of what was once one of the greatest games on F95
