It's incredibly smart to develop a game for 8 years and then claim that the source code requires updating, only to remove almost all content. It means that you will be able to fuck with your patrons another few years, earning you additional millions.

Actually it wasn't a Lie in that regard, there was one Coder who messed up big in this Game. That's why it was always so buggy and such.
Keep in Mind, the Achivement for opening the Lockers in School is bugged for years in the old version.
This wasn't a trick but yeah, the Development Team was kinda Stupid to allow the old Coder to mess up so long.
It made sense to actually Code everything new to avoid problems in the future but honestly, it takes too much time for the money they do.
There should have been a new main Coder and one temporally to help doing it quicker. Instead he just hired the main Coder.
That's what I've been saying. Dude's an evil genius.

If renpy works, there's no problem and it'snot like this kind of games need a powerful engine, lying about updating the engine that's the problem

It wasn't about upgrading the engine.
As stated on this page and many others, it was about the shoddy coding within the engine by the various members of the development team in the past with various levels of coding experience and skills.
Big difference.

Let's see if big man sticks to his 2 month update schedule since he HAAAAAD to cut the previous update short despite being 4-5 days away from a full debbie path but he HAAAAAAAD to make sure he hit the 2 month deadline.

I'm passing by to say that it's been almost 9 years of this mess.
I do think that DC should use AI as a Helping tool and give us the update faster by drawing on the AI gen Images for new scenes while redoing all the old stuff , as i saw in his streams that he usually make her old art as base and then draw over it , and trust me he do really slow , as an Artist myself I was gaslighted on how slow he draw even with a template behind giving him outlines and margins... i was like he might be doing it on purpose, so if he really work that slow , why not use ai to make new sex animations , new interactions , new boobs sizes after pregnancy ?
although in one of his stream he said he is not a fan of AI. i mean why ? AI will out skill anyone anytime even with current level , specially Artist , I do understand that an artist's hand drawn art has a taste and unique style, but AI can replicate it so close too, and if takes so long to hand draw it , DC should at least take help from it and finalize himself...
the less of the lines he draw in his livestream in 1 hour or so , was really a pain to watch , i watched his 3-4 streams to confirm his pace , and i was in pain to see him drawing this slow with temp , not because i am waiting for update , because i draw myself and as an artist if i drew that slow in my classes , i would've be kicked out of there...

No, if DC used AI, it would take away the one thing he's enjoys most about creating the game... Drawing. And without the one thing that makes the work enjoyable... He would likely stop working on it, leaving it where it sits.because with AI, the game would get finished in the next 5-10 years or so and DC doesn't want to derail the milk train this fast
And, on the off chance he actual found using AI okay, it means he could keep adding content as he has stated he wants to do, of several hundred NPCs... And, just like now, the posing and coding would be even more of a bottleneck than it has been for the past 4 years.
It's like people don't even think when they come up with these ideas.

Hopefully this game will actuall be revived with content rather than the endless reworking cycle. We used to get so much content, but I guess Cookie has stopped caring since he makes 90k/ month anyways for doing nothing.

The concept that someone could actually enjoy their work is anathema to many people, particularly AI bros. DC famously has been unable to accept a second artist on the project because he doesn't want to have to fix their work, and since he's currently in the endless process of redrawing old assets it seems like he can't even stand the sight of his own art after a few years.
Why on Earth would people think he'd be okay using an AI to churn out images that he'd immediately be compelled to redraw?
