Because he worked in the gaming industry he has to know how to code? Especially in Python, the language Ren'Py uses?

Well, I work in the printing industry. But I couldn't operate a Heidelberg Speedmaster nor a Fujifilm Jet Press. But guess what, the printer, the man/woman working those machines I mentioned, couldn't do my job either, namely typesetting or imposition.

Who'd a thunk an entire industry could encompass different and highly specialised jobs?!
So what your saying is you didn't learn anything even remotely related to your job while working at your job. Good to know.

I'm just glad this game is still up there with somewhat regular updates, great content and increasingly quality. I actually don't care how long it takes to finish, might as well enjoy the journey rather than cut it off. Although I'm really curious to see the game that will come after SS.

I feel like people on this site go out of their way to misinform when it comes to Summertime Saga. The Jenny and Diane update are ment to moved them onto the code because the old code was shit, rework their story and move the art to the rig system, and finally introduce the pregnancy system. Also DC planing to do the same with Mia, Eric, and the mom
i think you just didnt understand what he is saying. lol

What matters is the time between updates.
Yes, but in that case it's still not 100 days (that number isn't official anyway) since the last update was released 78 days ago. Sure, secret surprise updates mess with the schedule but that's kind of the point after all. I mean, else we wouldn't have had a christmas update...

Else I'd say it's fair to take some time off during christmas and new year. Way too many devs burn out despite good earnings and everyone deserves some private time. Those who are not happy can simply adjust their pledge. I'm doing that for more than a year now.

I don’t see how improving the art is a bad thing or a waste of time.
Depends on whether or not it's an improvement. Sometimes artists get wrapped up in their work so badly that they can wind up sticking their heads up their asses. Different is not always good.

So my STR and DEX are maxed out as it says in my status bar (Its full 10/10) however i still can't get the big guy to help me bench when Kevin isn't there.

Also some DEX related scenes are still unavailable as the shower Scene with Jenny, says i'm not high enough in DEX even tho its 10/10.

Does DEX/STR go higher than the displayed parameters or is it just unfinished content?

But it is clearly an improvement. I mean compare the old art and animations to the new one there is clearly a jump in quality.

The awful balloon tits from before were not better and do not become jarring in comparison to every piece of art that comes after it.

At this point I don't know if you are being obtuse on purpose or just trolling...

Really adds to his "I worked in the gaming industry" talk.
Do you think the Anthony and Joe Russo could have sat down and started working on the animation work once they were done the principal photography of Avengers: Infinity War? No, because you typically have specialization of labour on large projects.

The bottleneck remains the art and DC absolutely refuses to let anyone else touch it because he'd make less money if he sped that up and it gives him an eternal excuses to be slow and milk it.
It's not absolutely refuses when he has had other artists audition to work with him.

Thing is, when it comes down to the gaming industry and more specifically small developers, at least in programming, there aren't all that many alternatives - C++/C#, Python and Java are either the biggest ones or the ones most commonly used. While being very much different in syntax, many ideas behind what object-oriented programming entails and how it's applied do not change based on language. Learn one language, learn them all... mostly, and what you haven't learned yet, it's documented somewhere so to make it simple:

Once you grasp the concepts behind the actual act of planning out what a program can do and what it should do for you as a dev, it's only a matter of setting it all up by planning the general structure, maybe making it modular and then putting it into code, regardless of language (to a degree).

EDIT: I just also realized, "gaming industry" entails quite a large spectrum of work - there's also the possibility he was working in the games industry, but not in a field that is specific to programming. More likely it would be that he was a designer or artist, given the spin and unique artwork. So, either direction is valid. So if he has been working, but not as a programmer, your point totally is valid, I merely wanted to point out a flaw in your reasoning in the post you made.

The big guy will never help you lift, at least not in the current version.

The scenes with Jenny are misleading and will be fixed or replaced in the next update. They say you don't have enough dex, when you actually have to have high dex and do certain events. I'm afraid I don't remember which events, though... have you had sex in her bed at night? (not the handcuff scene) I know you have to do that before the shower scene will unlock.

No stat goes above ten, it's just misleading.

I can only shake my head at people trying to snipe on DC's "gaming industry" experience when it's very well known that the experience can vary from person to person, from country to country, and everywhere in between.

Ya'll do know that some game makers come into the adult gaming industry and work as hobbyists because of the massive stress and massive income going to CEOs and shareholders, right? Huge disparity and it's not like DC is the first to come around here. The Future Fragments group has a person from the AAA gaming industry and they're making a Mega Man sexy knock off.

Should they get similar criticisms?

As I've used the search function to actually check through the thread, it is true that he worked as an artist, not a programmer, I'll grant you that any day. Nevertheless, do not forget that this is the internet, people will always find ammo to make their voice heard, regardless of how true a statement holds up. I'm honestly at this point worried that the ambition, which seems to grow rapidly at this point, might turn this project into an Icarus' Flight of some kind and I could even give out a great example of another crowdfunded project which got so overblown it missed it's release schedule by a mile because of grand ambitions - Star Citizen.

To come back to the sniping issue at hand - from my perspective at least: the problem with that is that if you play the "I worked in [insert job here]"-card or just give out this information to your audience for whatever reason, be it gaining goodwill, trust or followers, you forfeit the right to be defended on account of lacking experience in a field, as that statement would include said experience to begin with, invalidating it. If he did actually do that to quell arguments or not, I couldn't find, yet this is how I see it.

And yes, I'd give anybody criticism for anything, that's what I'm here for.
