I have a question I had already played this game before, and now it's quite different. Is this an early access release? Because there are scenes I played years ago that I can't access anymore

This forum is filled with people that don't read or attempt to ferret out the answer to their questions by doing a little back reading.
Sorry, this game is being redeveloped - the last full release, 2.16, will not be extended. 21.+ will continue to expand to hopefully get to the point where 20.16 is and beyond.

huhu can someone explain to me why alot of games get a "remake" which makes the game alot worse than before?
i remember that game was stunning with good content and lovely graphics. after the "rework" of Eve (she was such a cutie at the start) i got a lot of less motivated to play this game but played it. (completed the storyline).
then a few years later i came back and the family looked completely changed. and know its another rework? what the hell why do so many devs choose to make the game uglier than before and cut content?

You may think characters are uglier, but there are others who do not think that. Particularly, the guy who draws them.

And content isnt cut in this instance. You can still play the stable version downloadable for free from the developer's website or from here. The preview version doesn't have all that previous content migrated over, yet.
That's not "cut" - that's what is called a "work in progress" (wip) and why it's called the preview version.

If you have a sincere general interest in why various developers revise, redraw, refine, review their work that is in development (a work that isn't called a finished product) that's a conversation for the general discussion threads, not a game thread.

hm fair enough.
its just that a lot of games i care about (and am kinda cherrypicking) loose their appeal to me after getting reworked and getting story changed. i choose a game because of the artstyle or a reallife experience like that emogirl that reminds me of a girl i used to date or kasie which reminds me of my ex gf.. in general i choose games which resembles my love interests in real life... but getting reworked destroys that for me..
