can someone explain to me what is going on? it's been months since i checked out the last update, is the game going to be missing a ton of stuff until the tech update finishes?

Yes, the preview of the tech update will be missing content until it is no longer labeled as a preview.

The "before the tech update" download option is the normal game then? i guess i'll just forget about this game and wait another year until the tech update is fully finished.

I left DC along time ago once I realized what he was doing. He knew the demand was high so he's been milking it as long as he can. Its just a matter of time until people loose interest with al the broken promises. NLT is a good developer, he's on his fourth game.
