Usually I don't write anything on the internet, because I deem it a waste of time, but even I can not walk past this phenomenon. Other developers make 3 full games in time this people still can not finish the fabled Tech Update(c). I get it, it's hand drawn, I get it, they may want to take their time, development is comlicated, the original code may be a mess etc. But still. 2 months. 2 honest to God months. And it's peanuts for noticible change. They are being all dramatic, putting up a progress bar, setting deadlines, "being open with their audience". Porn game developers basically acting like a multibillion corporation akin to Ubisoft - all the appearances, dry and buisnesslike attitude and very little in terms of product. If anything, I think they make it worse by doing it. If it was: "We don't care what you think, ya nerds, it's gonna release when we feel like it!" it honestly whould have been better in my opinion. Because de facto it is exactly that. I don't have any particularly strong feelings about it all. It's a porn game. Eventually it will release, I will play it and that will be that. It's not essential, it's not important. I don't send them money, and even if I was, It whould have been my buisness and my choice. Some day I will open the site, see that the game is finished and will go: "Oh, cool". That said, the combination of communication style, minimal updates and the general mood around the project is remarkable. It could have been the biggest porn game ever, it could have been a golden standart. But, because of creator's attitude toward it, it's more of cryptid animal display everybody marvels at. Sometimes in horror. I wish the whole Tech Update(c) never happened. I wish it was rough around the edges but beloved project with lots of content. Again - it's just a game, it will release eventually, it will probably be good, I don't accuse creators of anything, i do believe they do genuinely think that this is the best course of action. I just wish that every time I look at the game's thumbnail I whould feel excitement, not irritation and dissapointment.

The 8th update is here!
We are closing in on the last remaining content for Debbie. With this update, players can reach intimate encounters with Debbie but we have one last quest remaining to add along with her pregnancy. Those will come in the following update.
As we mentioned previously, not all of the Tech Update content is available yet, but we are releasing new content every 2 months.
In the meantime we hope that her story showcases the level of quality we intend to keep throughout the rest of the game.

  • Continued Debbie's route with one original, and one reworked quest.
  • Inserted missing diary entry after Jenny catches Anon during Debbie boobjob.
  • Fixed issue with some blurred assets being cut-off too early.
  • Expanded replay of Debbie's boobjob scene to include more of the lewd preamble.
  • Added hide button to quick menu on touch devices where other options are unavailable.
  • Restored Debbie's bush in lotion massage animation.
  • Wrote new shader in order to visually communicate flashbacks.
  • Reworked Debbie's bedroom location with improved art.
  • Updated art of Debbie hovering at the door when entering Anon's room.
  • Improved character art for Lily and Judith.
  • Drew new TV channel variant in order to better match narrative use.
  • Created several new variant UI assets.
  • Blocked a teleportation bug when speaking to Annie during Miss Okita's serum quest.
  • Corrected oversight in pizza mini game where zero deliveries would cause crash.
  • Resolved conflict between Miss Dewitt and Miss Ross routes when collecting planks.
  • Ensured replay of Debbie blowjob scene in Anon's room correctly unlocks.
  • Applied correct tint to Anon's bedsheets during Debbie's visits.
  • Attempted to support two-decade old hardware in equirectangular projection shader.
  • Upgraded Ren'Py to version 8.4.1, and made new accessibility options available.
  • Various minor posing improvements, metadata adjustments, and asset tweaks.

In my opinion, the project is at a stage where there are three possible paths for further development. 1) Development gradually continues to lengthen until the developer finally gives up and everything becomes abandoned. 2) The developer reluctantly releases the "latest version", which is a mush of both the old and something hastily made new. 3) A specific sponsor is miraculously found, who ensures the completion and release of the creation... At the moment, everything is rolling along according to the first option. In a year, "2 scenes with Eric will be added and numerous bugs and textures will be fixed." And then you can give up and endlessly do tech updates.

Next update will be even smaller , the dev will probably go on a vacation . Yea looks like 1 character per year or 2 scenes per update , or 1 scene per month. I honesly tough he was "advertising" that with the new code and rework progress will be faster it bacame slower. Back in the day he would crank whole character route in one update cycle (yea some of thouse were more than 2 months but never a whole year of half an year for that matter). Honesly at this rate it will take him half a decated to reach the point he got with the old version .Yea scenes are better - better animation , but is it really worth the time invested ?!

He really assed around for 2 months this time.

There was no reason he couldn't have finished that final quest. He already drew like most of it anyway.

He didn't even implement the couple of other sex scenes he drew as "preview" scenes.

If this is what he considers an acceptable amount to release, there's not a doubt it my mind that he's going to hold on to several Debbie scenes and not finish her next update either.
