People probably didn't expect that the tech update would take 5+ years to be finish. Most people thought it was to fix some bugs, make the game run more smoothly and flesh out some things here and there. Not rebuild the game from the ground up. I mean I didn't have a problem with how the game looked. DC probably did. Which is why he wanted to do a tech update. Though if I was in DC shoes, I'd probably do the tech update on the side and continue the story. But that's just because of hindsight. In RL, I don't know what I would have done differently. Probably not do the tech update until the game was finished.

Wrapping up art for the update, no live stream today! Hopefully we can release in the coming days and be back to live streaming on Monday! Darkcookie sent it in discord does it mean it will be released on Monday ?
So no weekend update ... figures. My bet is very soon they will drop the "update every 2 month" promise. DC allready suggested 2 months ago that the can simply increase update times. It's obvious he can put up with his own imposed schedule.

DC already dropped the ball on the "update every 2 months." Which is why we're in tech-update part 3 or 4 instead of part 9.
