Whats happening here, there was a lot of stuff to do in this game but suddenly all is gone car shop, milk lady, bank, gangsters, eve, etc. can some one tell how to get all that stuff back and why was all the content removed?

Play the "stable" version v0.20.16

From 8 posts before yours (and dozens of times... If not we'll over 100 times from myself and many different people in this thread.... Easily found if bothered to take a minute or two)

New code.
New variables.
New display ratio.
New UI.
Slowly .... Very slowly moving old content over smidgen by smidgen.

You need not to be so edgy. If you didn't understand something, you don't need to be a d*ck about it, and assume something. You can always try to act like a normal person and ask.

Understanding is local, not global. What isn't clear to you, may be to others, and the other way around.

Also, I have been playing the game normally, just using shortcuts provided by the base game (like starting full stats, skipping minigames), so ofc it is "something I have done" that triggered the bug, but the bug shouldn't have been triggered.

Here's how you get all of that stuff back...Wait 5 years. If you think that's too hard then download version 20.16. As to why the content was removed, it was the Money Fairies. DC is in too deep with them and needs the hard cash to pay them off.

Quite simply, the developer decided on a technical revamp (called Tech update) somewhere in the middle of the game, including an expanded in-game map, which, in the original state of the game, is probably one of the worst mistakes a developer can make. And when he finally finished that, he realized that all the content was no longer compatible with the code, because code-wise the game must have always been a patchwork, a complete disaster. And now he's rewriting everything so that it gradually fits. And that seems to be taking just as long as the tech update, if not longer.

It's only 24 hours early access for official links to the newest release... and even then Dark Cookie admits that people will see it here (and other websites) much sooner than the 24 hours --- as for the other perks, there's a website that lists them:

I think it's the other way around. But be careful because if you get too off topic you're comment/post will be deleted for being "off discussion." Which is why there's a "off discussion" thread for Summer time Saga. (Just too lazy to put the link in my post.)

makes me wonder why he did not just continue the game in a "part 2" build that does not have the mess

Dildorog. He's done a few animations for the game. He's obviously got an agreement with Dark Cookie to use the assets and have a Patreon account using those assets as a result of his previous work on the team. He's been doing animations for quite a few years --- before AI advancements. So you're looking at Adobe Photoshop or similar products for graphics and animation.
