That bug counter keeps going up. No idea why DC thought he was going to release today. My guess is Friday or Saturday.
You'd think with the 45K/Month he brings in some of it might go towards a Project Management book or class. (Seems to be a huge issue for him imo)
Even if by some "miracle" he released in the next 12 hours I doubt it would be playable.

And what genre? Renpy games genre? Because coders work in it. I would say that STS team make almost worst job comparable to games funded 1000$ per month.
I could also name games with more interesting story, games with saves games which don't brake in every update etc. But there is no point, everyone knows.

I mean adult Ren'py/Unity games.

I haven't played Four Elements Trainer since mid Book 2, so I don't know if things have changed, but the art back then was not near as complex/detailed as SS, nor was there as many art assets as SS.

As a defender, I can only speak for myself. But from my perspective, and this is also sort of a general sense I get from others, I think the central point that is overlooked here is that all of your points may well be true; but I just don't care. It's a porn game. I'm not going to invest any time or effort into giving a single hot shit about how the developer manages the project. He has no obligation, imo, to deliver anything. Patronage is voluntary, it's not Kickstarter where you're funding a specific target amount for a specific goal. It's a tip jar for what has been delivered to date, not a future-focused budget pool. Good for him that his tip jar is so honkin' big.

What still kills me is that people get so darned hyperbolic and strawman the positions on this because they're suffering from Blue Ball Syndrome.

I've said over and over that I've been a freelancer around this and I've been playing other games. But you'd think I kicked a baby because I'm not bitching about the release just like other people and pointing out how incredibly nonsensical the arguments have gotten by posting dank memes or trying to keep it light.

Yet we hear the Patreon argument, the amount he makes monthly, and everything under the sun because people like the content or whatever their individual reasons are.

He never said it was coming out tonight. He said they'd try to release it tonight. People automatically assume that means it's coming out though, and spread that false information.
