I feel like these pre-tech releases are kind of fucking them a bit. Like yeah, its great that content has continued to trickle out, however, all of this content that is being released now has to be converted before the tech release can come out. Its like digging a hole and from time to time you throw a couple shovelfuls back in to show you're doing something. Also, its been an absolute ton of content released since the announcement, likely adding a good bit of time to the tech build.

The tech build is held back by the coding which is at 57%. The main Dev is not coding it this time so it isn't slowing his progress at all. Even if he completely finished all the writing, art, and posing for the release by tomorrow, it won't speed up coding which is the bottleneck for the release.

• Initial release for new game version. Will be full of bugs -- you have been warned!
  • New content has neither been tested nor naughtified yet.
  • Cookie jar scenes for old content do work.
  • Game should work as far as only old content is concerned.
  • New content is likely to work -- not guaranteed.
• Improvement to Ms. Bissettes bouncing titties animation before orgasm.
• Introduced new configuration parameter DISABLE_SPLASH (default 0). If set to 1, the age verification screen will be skipped. By doing so, you confirm to be of legal age.
  • If you are using translations, note that the default value 0 will override parameter USE_TRANSLATIONS. Translation files bring their own splash screen.
• Better formatting of traceback exceptions happening before game start, in case the mod is not correctly installed.
• Additions to new text translation mechanism.
• Corrections for the German translation pack (needs to be downloaded separately).
  • New content is only machine translated (Google Translate) and may contain errors.

You can start a new game for returning players ( with cheats and skipping minigames) or just start the game to the new content released with some stats and money.

You have most likely already done those events because those are earlier in the game play.
If you last played in the past 18 months (v0.20.9 or newer), you should be fine (even if the warning box pops up when you load that save).
If you last played v0.20.14 and have problems with your save, you can start at "new content" and answer a few questions and be fine.

v0.20.9 - you mean April in 2021? Your save should be fine if you saved in the map or in the MC's room. Everything since that time have been pre-tech 1-5 updates adding animations/scenes while the tech update continues to be worked on. None of the scenes add to the storyline or are dependent upon skills. If you want to know what the new scenes/animations are in the past 18 months, see #4 in my FAQ.
