Making daily streams (what he is also not doing) doesn't mean he can't be a scammer.
He is capable to work much faster than that but he is easy going plus he is not even thinking about to hire more help always making bs excuses like "can't find somebody who can actually draw like me" or "its to expensive" bla bla bla

I think you are at least 1,5 years behind the curve. DC's saying for a very long time now that he'll only get a second artist if the perfect person comes around and it's pretty much obvious that he'd rather like to finish the game alone.
So it's not like he's making any excuses, it's not like he's asking for more money and it's not like the speed has changed that much, when you actually take all things into account. In the end it simply won't matter whether he earns 30.000, 50.000 or 80.000, the speed will stay as it is and as it has been for the last two years.

Sure, people will bang on about it for the next 2 years, too, but at some point people will simply have to ask themselves, whether they are wasting their time complaining about this specific point.

He was quite enthusiastic about his next project about 2 years ago (he even thought about hiring somebody to prepare the new engine etc. back then), but it looks he then decided to go all in for SS instead. Once we started getting better animations, the rig system, etc. he's hardly ever talked about new projects.

But sure, it's his job and he seems to have fun. So I don't really see why he'd stop as long as people want to play what he creates.

Be Realistic with such work speed this game will still be build 4-6 years from now on (if this have to become a good product at the end)
He "needs" 10-12 months only for the main story...
The speed slowed down you can't deny it.
Take Roxxys update how long did it took and what we got and look whats happening now waiting a decade for 4 h scenes.
It sounds crazy but if we analyze the past it seems that more money makes the work even slower (in this case)

Roxxy's took four months to be complete and had five hscenes the same amount as the next update

I'd agree that the Roxxy update was probably the pinnacle, yet it didn't have pregnancies and was in general still in middle when it comes to drawing quality. The real animations are nice but for example some none animated scenes still lack a certain quality and are very rough compared to what we are getting now.

Else it's probably true that he's working a little less, given that he's got 3 kids now instead one small baby, but it's not really that noticable in my opinion. As said, the update/content/quality ratio is pretty much constant. Sure, we can always talk aboute a few weeks give or take, but is that really worth it, once we are talking about years it'll take for the game to be done? People seem to forget how "bad" the game actually was before 0.15.

What I'm primarily against is that people pretend he'd promise stuff to his patreons trying to deceive them. The game is free and those who aren't happy with it won't have to give a cent to play it. Just cancel your payment for a few months and play the next update for free. There's really not much to it.

Edit: Just to add, I actually reduced the amount I'm giving from ~25$ a year to 12$, so I don't really see why others won't to the same. People are free to give what they like and nothing will really change for them.
