Well, decent 2D art is pretty much timeless and I'd say that SS will pass the test of time. Add, that SS's plot (apart from some meme characters) covers one of the most timeless genres too, as lewd highschool/college romance stuff will never ever be not popular, and you have very futureproof combination.Because with a dev cycle that may hit 10 or more years it’s really hard to tell. A lot of people found this when they were young teens and have since likely outgrown the original appeal of the game. Or maybe the development time turned off etc. Compare that experience to that of a young zoomer who found this game a week ago, and others who will find it at release. This is mainly the thing I find interesting about this title.
Sure, some people may outgrow lewd gaming in general, but I don't really see why people who discover the game down the line shouldn't like it.
I'd guess DC's final triumph will happen, once somebody who said that DC will never finish the game, catches his own 12 year old son many years down the line having a wank to this very game.
