Do people actually change the characters' names in these games? I've never seen the point of doing that.
Why, so you can spend the next 6 months demanding I give updates and show progress reports on the case? Nah. So much people are disappointed in the update but scammer cookie already announced that this update was going to be just UI and 2 Debbie scenes that are remasters (which is low effort).
The legendary scammer most probably destroyed the roadmap because he knows it's not feasible, expect a new delay in this two year period of tech update.
As for the next update, cookie is going to remaster/add Debbie content for the next update with pregnancy. Let's see how long he milks that update...

Also, if you open the game - you will see what they are expecting to have come in the future for the tech update, in an order they are estimating - but that order has never been written in stone:
Don't hold your breath for 1 October. This appears to be the release for the end of September. Next update should be expected around the end of November.

If you already played the previous update and completed it, then don't even bother downloading this one. There is no content update, they just introduce a new UI that provides more detailed data on characters and quests.
