Instead of insulting me, just read what I wrote and not just reply with your brains on standby. The Tech Update didn't started 6 years ago. You wrote bullshit.
Yes, the Code was the Reason why the Tech Update exists. No, it wouldn't take so much time, but Dark Cookie took the opportunity to Remake the old Art. Since the Players complained anyway that Dark Cookie tried to implement the old Debbie Art and such. And that's why the Tech Update got lower priority to remake Debbie. The old Plan was "just make the new Code with the old Art" to the Coder, but since People complained the inconsistency between the old art and the newer art (Main Story and such), the New Plan is to Remake the old Art. The Teachers and such will probably also get remaked.
Look, I DON'T defend Dark Cookie, I just wrote that the Tech Update was needed. Would he have continued the old version, it would have been broken sooner than later because of the bad Coding in the old Version. However, Dark Cookies Workflow is shit, he should have done much more already. Like the Remake of the Teachers for example so we don't have two Designs of the French Teacher there (Old and New). Or alredy working on Diane Remake.
