Anyway, as for the SS situation, I don't really care about the incest. So long as the story's good and the characters are hot to fuck, then that's all that matters. Still, if there issue is a dire need to change a certain factor in the story, why not just change the mother and sister into stepmom and stepsister? The important parts wouldn't really change and patching would literally be just taking out a few letters when a certain character is addressed. The relationship between the MC and the family in house would still remain the same, maybe not as hindered as if they were actually blood. Simple solution.
Also, is Patreon only cracking down on this game for its incest content or are other projects being hit?

It puts the relationship into the hands of the player rather than making the game itself come under scrutiny. Who's to say you don't live in a comune (developed in the 60's) with whomever... Yeah I realize that adding an extra variable to a game that's well established may take a bit of doing but it is certainly better than abandoning a well established franchise or putting it under an unnecessary microscope...

Man Of The House has an XML that you can manually edit, but thanks to F95 members they already edited the file and made available as a 'mod'. I mentioned that it is possible to do the same with SS. It was a matter of time that SS was going to get targeted. I read sometime ago in this thread the Dev didn't care about his Patreon account, but that doesn't seem to be the case. And this would also explain why the last update was over 2 months ago (no big deal its released when its released there's plently of other game on F95 to keep busy). Yes DC is working on 4 teachers so that added time (no big deal) but I had a feeling something else was going on.

By the way you can learn how to edit Ren'py files on F95 for those interested in trying it. Or what for another member to create a Mod.

In "The Awakening" you can set the relations of the girls the mc lives with. Its not yet perfect but i'd say it does the job fine since it makes the game by default non incest. You can just make it so but is not one by default. I just hope these things will work out but i'm afraid SS will need shittons of work now to change things they were...

well the sad thing here is that this is a video game, sure if it was a porn studio that filmed incest then yea that would be wrong, but it's literally the same as a violent game, you don't ban games like gta where you can kill anyone with anything since you know it's "fake". this is just like a novel, someone wrote a long novel with some sibling love, that book wont be burned, rather looked at as art for it's breaking of the "boundaries". sad times, but oh well, just write their names what ever you want your fantasy to be, and your gucci.
mostly annoying that we have to wait longer for an update. miss the game.

Sinceramente spero che l'autore non mi deluda. E' che tiri fuori una patch per i contenuti che patreon voglia censurare. Perché rigiocarmi da zero la nuova versione, con le censure non mi va proprio! Quindi come dicevo spero che o Darkcookie o un buon modder crei una patch giusto per ripristinare i contenuti familiari. Infondo, tutto quello che deve fare è prelevare la vecchia traduzione e sostituire quella parte alla nuova. Non credo che per chi conosca questi programmi sia cosi difficile da fare.

No they do not. At most it's 2 years with the most work only being done in about half a year. Games that are properly worked on over a 5 year periods are the flops that get scrapped and redone like Duke Nukem or Mass Effect Andromeda.

When someone say's a games been in development for a long time they only really mean that you may have a couple of people planning it out.

Btw, I saw people months ago saying that Patreon was gonna leave the big games untouched because they make a lot of money, but looks like they don't care. That seems wholly incorrect. I'm pretty sure it's not illegal to make games about incest, so long as the characters are over the age of sexual consent, in any country where fake incest pornos are legal. The issue here is more along the lines of "Patreon doesn't want to host certain contents", which is completely in their right. They've already been cracking down on titles, banners, anything publicly accessible (barring 3rd party links) that have explicit adult content in general, which is why most previews are either censored or under a patron-only post. That's why people are talking about the possibility of switching to alternatives, because it's probably not a legal issue and is just Patreon's policy. I'm pretty sure that they respond to incest-fetish projects of all mediums in the same way, not just videogames.

How about DC just allows the player to choose the names of the characters, and if the player enters certain keywords i.e. condition statements, such as Mom or Sis, then it will set different key dialogue throughout the game accordingly.
