If DC ran an actual company, he would've gone bankrupt ages ago.
i hope it to brother... but coding and writing is also left, and the more bugs they fix more are coming...they are fixing bugs seemingly every minute. 30 more to go looks like.
Actually according to the dev its only testing and bugs left. Discord is a good way for better info.i hope it to brother... but coding and writing is also left, and the more bugs they fix more are coming...
i don't get it, how can the writing not be at 100% already? i expect the coding to go to 100% with the bugs/issues bar, they are probably related or something.i hope it to brother... but coding and writing is also left, and the more bugs they fix more are coming...
Didn't DC say two weeks ago that everything was done except the two last animations and bugfixing ?i hope it to brother... but coding and writing is also left, and the more bugs they fix more are coming...
Yes... becuase looking at his history of patrons coming and going, it's been steadily increasing. Totally losing patrons. The release has no bearing on being a patron. Seeing as it's 100% free to play, how does one holding their patronage til May 1, in any way, affect their ability to get the game. They fix 1 bug... add 20 more in the progress bar... I'm not in any way a coding expert, but it's a fucking visual novel... how complex can the fucking code be? They're just milking patreons at this point. Dragging this damn update so he can get this month's money because he knows he'll lose patrons after this update is released.
Well, that's not the case with SS. The game is and has always been free and everybody will get it on the same day.Since when in the history of ever has "early release access" meant a few hours? Patrons, if not all, at least the highest tier ones, should've been able to play this update a long time ago.
The last writing task is sadly <censored> so we don't know what it is. It may just as well be proofreading or something that's related to the release.i don't get it, how can the writing not be at 100% already? i expect the coding to go to 100% with the bugs/issues bar, they are probably related or something.
Ten internet cookies says it's our boi Admiral Ackbar warning us intently on how we've been forced into a compromising situation that will result in a surprise attack by our enemies. The last writing task is sadly <censored> so we don't know what it is. I mean, DC is not the best judge of time to complete a job, or project director. Good artist, though.Didn't DC say two weeks ago that everything was done except the two last animations and bugfixing ?
Project managers are people who make you work and by your message I don't think you like that as a freelancer. I work with freelancers daily and most of them aren't even competent. Wonder why...probably attitude.1. Hiring manager doesn't make sense in such a project. There is a good joke about project managers. They are people who think that 9 women will give birth in one month. As a freelancer I would not hire a person who only tells me what to do and set unrealistic deadlines - this I could do by myself.
Another thing is about those "realistic dates". 2 weeks ago, after a week stuck at 97%, DC posted "almost finished" and that we wait for last 2 animations. At that point, bug testing should start. I can't imagine that now, after 2 weeks, we have 200 bugs with those 2 animations that were finally delivered. That is, in fact, bad project management.
0.17 was released 6 months ago - If this update doesn't end up having lots of content then I see no point in further supporting it.
i think that's exactly what it isSince the tracker's total percent doesn't account for the bugs, I'm wondering if maybe the last few tasks might actually be done, but they're leaving them unchecked to avoid saying the game is 100% complete when there are actually a whole pile of bugs to fix. That was always a big problem in the past, before they had bugs on the tracker in the first place. Lot of confused people wondering about the holdup.
Obviously I can't prove if that's the case, but if it is, I don't think it's working all that well. A frozen 98% is barely different than a frozen 100%.
I thought he was an Animation Team Supervisor in the video game industry for a bunch of years?I mean, DC is not the best judge of time to complete a job, or project director.
Say, can someone screen and publish the accurate advance of % of the game ?
So why advertise that if you pay, you get early access? When in fact, that's not the case.Well, that's not the case with SS. The game is and has always been free and everybody will get it on the same day.
The last writing task is sadly <censored> so we don't know what it is. It may just as well be proofreading or something that's related to the release.
Well, patreons get the game first. How else would you call that? The way DC handels it is, by the way, the most sensible thing to do. Having a two week delay while the game will be all over the internet 1h after it's been released, is beyond pointless. So why advertise that if you pay, you get early access? When in fact, that's not the case.
Why are you even bothering with this game if you somehow think the Roxxy update was shit? We're past the point of five full months and are entering the sixth month. Is it likely to hit six full months? No, but you can't fault people for being impatient. Especially when the last two updates were shit, and this next one is going to be a reworking of an old update. At the rate DC and company work, and having worked in game development I know how slow things can be so I'm not faulting them for it, it'll have been around a year without any truly new content by the time the update after this one hits.
Kompa Productions is a *real* company. If DC ran an actual company, he would've gone bankrupt ages ago.
