I think it's been about a year and a half, probably a bit longer since the first time I played this and what few releases that have come since there's been more reworking old content and code (and breaking saves) than there has been actually adding new content.

Also for people thinking that he'll loose patrons, don't kid yourself, this a snowball now, it will only go bigger and even DC spits and shits on his fans, they will keep paying. Look at gumdrop thread to get an idea how can this be possible.

i have kinda mixed feelings about this release, considering it took 5 months, for some it might be a slap in the face cause basically they took debbies scene and did it with jenny same with the bath blowjob so nothing rly new.

but i do have to say that jenny was my favorite character and the scenes are of a way better quality then before. yes it was stated there are going to be more jenny scenes soon after, but for 5 months we didnt get much. guess thats what you get if you vote for old character overhauls.

in comparison roxxy update took about 3 months and you had only new new and new stuff with even multiple girls. sooo it rly comes down to the next update with a character that didnt had any scenes till now just like roxxy had none before her update, in which direction i think this game will go

they stated its going to be the BIGGEST update, cya in a half year and find out if that will be true

Like eve.. she has no scenes.. but still will have a full remake.. and it will take around 5 months aswell xD

and honestly.. not even roxxxy update justifies 3 months of developing.. its not such a complex game.. the paths arent even getting crossed yet. How the hell are they messing it up so badly?

Hate to be that guy but I was sorely dissappointed with the update. Does not take long before you realize that is all the update played in less than maybe an hour and half. Also not being able to use save files again from update to update sucks so much. Will see what update plans he has but i think many people will not be happy with this one.

The guy is claiming that DC is only doing 100 hours of artwork for this release, and just adding up all the time in the VODs we know it would way more than that. Plus I'm saying that if a person could create this much art in that little of time and have a Patron with that much, a fuckton more people would be doing it. I see it less as complaining and whining and more as a lot of people who were at one time completely enchanted by this guy's game - it was legitimately the best of the budding genre 2 years ago - and now, after 5 months, we get reworked scenes... That were fine to begin with... It's fair to be disappointed. That's what I see, a lot of disappointed people.

If you really dug this release - I'm very happy for you.

I really hate it when I reach this kind of point, I tend to give developers the benefit of the doubt. But I'm really getting sick of this shit. I would have alot more respect had DC just said 'Fuck it, I've lost interest I'm done. Then maybe farm the source code to someone else to continue or leave the project unfinished. It's alot less infuriating being teased for nothing than an honest up front admitting of the project coming to a halt. I had alot of hope for Summertime Saga. But the last update put it on thin ice for me. This most recent one I'm amazed this was ever deemed acceptable for release.

Usually updates are supposed to improve a product. Not regress. V.18 I was looking forward to and I can't help but to wonder how in the world this took 6 long months to do. Yes I know the game is technically free but, DC is getting $52.000 PER MONTH for this, and I fear the patience of the audience is waning, and it's been very generous so far.

For my personal opinion and from what I see I'm not alone here. Jenny has become an insufferable cunt here. I wasn't even interested in any potential for new scenes because the character has become even worse than before. Before she was a selfish conceited bitch but mellowed with time and became less unlikable. In V.18 she has become completely insufferable and the MC submits and just puts up with her bullshit because she has a nice body... It's infuriating to watch, let alone play. this isn't wish fulfillment it's masochistic at this point. I personally would rather see her suffer some real misfortune rather than her getting her way all the fucking time. I don't know what the fuck DC was thinking with this overhaul, But Jenny went from irritating but bearable to completely insufferable, it got so bad, I had to change her name to Cunt.

Meanwhile other characters whom are alot more likeable get virtually ignored. Eve who is actually quite pretty and pleasent. Judith, finally getting her beyond a tit grab and a hand job would have been nice. Maybe Rhonda, Hell even the MC deciding to experiment with Kevin, [wishful thinking on my part. I'd love to see Kevin bottom for the MC.] Or even The MC and Erik also experiementing with gay sex, would have been far preferable than what Jenny turned into after 6 bloody months.

The game is supposed to be partly wish fulfillment, when it becomes a chore it repels players. Especially with a risky premise and it being a porn game, it's a very tenuous ground. I want to have faith in DC and Summertime Saga.... But at this point, I'm ready to give up on it and just wonder what might have been.
