The stable version ends there.

The preview version hasn't had all that content migrated over yet. The only thing in the preview you can't get in the stable is Debbie's pregnancy and a few new lewds. And the preview is missing a lot of other content.

My Personal Opinion Seeing as the developer stated as early as 2017, 2 years before you joined this site, that they don't see this game as ever being finished perhaps you should have never started playing this at all.

That may be and Back then I didn't read every thing I should have. However My point stands Games that where the Dev starts a remaster that goes this long with out any real progress or in my opinion progress is just avoiding Abandoning and already technically failed Game.

In regard to this game, specifically --- You can still play v0.20.16 to get all the content to date (except for Debbie pregnancy and a few bits). 2/3rds of the game's main goals are done in it - find out what happened to Frank and get rich. Only the "select a date for the dance" remains. There are over 100 NPCs to interact with in it and over 100 lewd scenes in the cookie jar. The preview of v21.0.0 is still in progress, yes. People can choose to play that and get the few scenes that v0.20.16 with more optimized code and better display ratio and updated graphics. Or not.

So, excuse me while I point out your "sour grapes" to your generality. Sometimes there are devs that do that. Sometimes the game warrants it (such as it being frankensteined code, barely holding on as it is). Whether DC is like a dev in the former or the latter is a conversation for the off-topic forum. There is a thread for that.

You're playing v0.20.16 if you are on Diane's storyline and she's pregnant because her story hasn't migrated to the newer preview version.

Debbie's pregnancy is only in v21.0.0. That's why you are having that issue, it's not in the older version.

Might have confused the two since I started with the new version then switched to the old version after like an hour of realizing that it's missing alot of content

The reason I disagree with that, and if you are correct then OP is simply wrong, is that the characters he is mentioning were specifically at the top of the "this is what I'm finishing next" roadmap on the Summertime Saga website. Considering the game isn't numbered anywhere near 1.0, I think assuming the game is almost done with those characters is simply incorrect.

I'm mostly taking umbrage with the tone - the OP was obviously not speaking in malice, so talking to him like he's a stupid liar was totally uncalled for.

The thing is that you are adding context that wasn't there on the OP and you are clearly doing it on goodwill.

By the way, if you send summertime saga images to either Chatgpt or Gemini, asking to caption them, for a example, it's likely that these images will be collected and trained on, improving these models knowledge of the game.

The point wasn't to say that this is good or bad. I brought it because it shows that the game is being picked up for training by these AIs.

Thats a great idea. Will begin to train Chatgpt with MISSY model and see the results.
We can love or hate AI, but the near future belongs to AI. Crying about will not change that.

I manually created the game folder inside the files directory and pasted the patch there, but the game won’t start and just crashes.

You should ask in the thread created for the mod you are using, that's what it is there for. But here are the big three:

1. Make sure you're using the right version more for the version of the game you are playing and
2. make sure the mod is applicable for mobile and, finally,
3. make sure it's in the right location.

If all that checks out and still doesn't work, ask in the thread created for the mod.

I believe the newest version of the game/renpy broke mods on Android.

Since mods are currently broken on Android (new Ren’Py versions + Android 14/15), installing mods via the game folder just doesn’t work and crashes the game.
That’s why I’m trying to find a pre-modded Android APK instead.
Any recommended or commonly used sources?
