With coding at 38/41, I think there is one coding task left involving the posing that just was finished, and then the last two coding task is testing and bug fixing. So likely those last two tasks will take a while to be completed. For the 18.0 release, once there was two coding tasks left, it took 10 days to complete.Okay but lets be real that 8% of code left will likely introduce more bugs. So while it says 98% now it will probably go back to like 90% or lower

I hope there's a scene at the end of the game like the Sorrow scene from MGS3 where you face the consequences of your un-protected sex binges, entering a nightmare hell-scape, taunted and tortured by the souls you brought in this world and then abandoned.
The last update was released in June and that's when he started working Eve's update. So it's basically 4 months by now and it'll again be something like ~4,5 (give or take some days) when the update drops. That's more or less the same amount of time 0.17 and 0.18 took, again give or take some weeks.
They started in June, not a year ago. 4-5 months an update has been pretty standard for their bigger updates.

Yes, but I'd guess that only goes for the next main story update and not for the following character updates - at least as far as I see it. I mean, DC seems certainly aware that a good part of his base would like to see "more updates" per year and the main story seems to be a good opportunity. I'm sure they'll be able to find a good cliffhanger. That said, it's not like we'd get more content, it's just that it would be split differently.
If I do I would only be more disappointed.
