Hello Guys, sorry for bothering this page. Will this laptop do well with blender "heavy" animations? this laptop is included in my list to be bought. Graphic card is really good on this one I think.... and I suck at understanding laptop specs.
I am not to much an expert about this so this is my opinion and suggestions. So you said "heavy" animation right in blender well for laptop specifications is can be said as "good" ones but there something that you need to know probably.
- CPU (I can say that the CPU is pretty decent with clock speed, so I really no problem with it then again is also the new gen of Ryzen)
- GPU ( yeah this the one that concern me for majority of 3d artist is always recommend Nvidia card either gtx or rtx. For Radeon I don't know it will have good result or not because many software such as blender is have good compatible with nvidia.)
- RAM ( it's pretty decent, but I suggest you need to upgrade it to 32 gigs bacause if you do high Res texture on blender let alone animate it. That going to need lots of ram )
- Storage ( the ssd is nvme is also good enough I also recommend to have external hard drive to stored your big data)
- LCD ( it good enough)
Overall is pretty decent laptop but it will not do much in 7 or 8 month later if you only focusing on "heavy" animation in blender. Let alone blender is have complex texture and high poly that you need it. What I really concern is the GPU card is Radeon Vega not because it suck on 3d animation but many software is not compatible with and series graphic card. I suggest at least you need either gtx 1070ti or 1660ti, but if it's ray tracing atleast 2060 super. I know it will cost pretty much but it's good investment for your bigger project in blender. I suggest you buy a gaming laptop below 900 dollars such as HP pavilion 15 ( if you lucky you can get the rtx variant with 850 dollars) or Asus tuf 15 with gtx 1660ti with 837 dollars. But it always come back to you if you like the laptop and you only have limited budget with that you like you can always buy it. It's your choice and this is my opinion. Good luck buddy hope you can become one of the 3d artist
