I think that's fair enough. Pay him when he's being productive and making the things you like and remove your support when he hasn't put anything out for a while or is producing stuff you don't like. That's the best way to communicate protest or approval. Don't know what these silly pricks think they're going to achieve by sending him angry emails.
The only issue is this time it's not him that's lagging, it's the VA. Sum already said the animation is pretty much done, he's waiting for the voice work to get finished so he can line everything up and release it.

I dont think so since losing his first Patreon did hurt his income. So I dont think he would waste money unless his real job pays better for now.
I wonder if this one is quite dialogue heavy then. Most of his previous work has been pretty minimal for female dialogue. Really just the odd sentence here and there. I can see why it would be a task though. There probably isn't a bounty of women advertising online for pornographic voice over work. Probably a fairly niche market.
What do you mean cut his losses? There's no loss here. He's not working to a deadline and he has nothing to gain from releasing the project early. He may have already done the lip sync and facial animations to scratch tracks in which case it would be wasted work to not include the audio. It's because of people like you who say fuck it and cut losses that games like Cyberpunk 2077 come out. I for one want some sexy female dialogue in this animation and am looking forward to it.

Yes, you're right what you said. I understand that too. However, the real problem is that people have made their own mistakes somehow people always hate it when what is promised is broken. I honestly really support what you say, especially when I was still a sum patreon at the beginning I also felt it was appropriate to support sum to continue to be creative. But after I left sum, supporters started to doubt sum on some big projects that were starting to pass their release date. Obviously this is hated by fans, we as humans also clearly want some good benefit. I too, who support what you say, are clearly very irritated by uncertain mundane action. Sum was basically wrong at first he set the release schedule not as expected. This is clearly not to hate sum but as a precaution and also a suggestion for sum so as not to disappoint fans. If once or twice obviously doesn't matter but sum has more reputation than that then fans will definitely bring up things that negative thinking like "this is the habit of sum postponed the releass". Trust me if it's dealing with money it will definitely be a sensitive thing and that's natural. Once again great argument what you said, But let me ask this,
do you guys know what happen to mission k9 project ?
Did sum abandoned that project for this elf project that doesn't have anything to the vote last year?
If so, when then mission k9 ep2 will be released ? Next year maybe?
Or how about men's best friend project or neighbor wife project ? Maybe 2024 or 2027 will be happen?

Of course all of this will make the fans angry, when fans angry and give out their voice and word it means they still care. At least talk to them what happen ask for suggestion for the next time what to do, maybe some how one of your fans have a better set of skill and experience than you and for your next project. Not talking about you but I think a lot of sums fans are lazy and entitled and just need to get a life. If they really cared about 3d animated porn as much as they claim to then they would download a copy of blender and learn to use it. They won't because that actually involves hard work and getting talented at something. If people really want answers to why some of Sums project take so song and why there are such issues with quality control then what they could do is become a 3D animator, make the content they want to see instead of relying on someone else and see for themselves the problems and set backs that happen when people produce 3D animation content. At the end of the day beggars can't be choosers. If a lot of this guys fans are not happy with the frequency he releases content or the content itself then the only real solution is to do a better job then he does. If they can't then they need to shut up or just tap out and stop following his work. I've also mentioned this before. Noname55 will actually do people a commision if they pay him money. If people want to see something that sum isn't delivering then that guy within certain limitations can make people something they are too lazy to make themselves. Some people are just lower than low. They won't support artists. They wont get good at the skills that are required to do better than the artists the criticize all day long and for some reason they think random people on the internet owe them something for free. I don't think Kaiba's work is very good yet but at least he's put his money where his mouth is. He's supported the artists he likes and he's having a crack at it himself. That's the right attitude.
Everyone has their own opinion, I understand the work that goes into the animations, I hope sum gets it right and in future projects with blender...practice makes perfect as they say....peace everyone
more things in life worth worrying about than sum's projects or any bodies works TBH, increase the peace people, stay safe
