VN - Ren'Py - Superhuman [v0.982] [WeirdWorld]

    Solid game throughout.

Only concern is that any characters that have the option to die tend to have a durth of content later as they can't be involvd in anything plot relavent.

E.g. a minion from the first superhuman you fight, and the second superhuman you fight and one of the Hero recruits

The second parahumans post fight content is also fairly self contained as a result.

I didn't expect this, but the game is excellent, I love it, the art style could be better, but the writing is good, the history and characters are interesting, and have tons of content, and I mean TONS, give it a chance, congrats to the developer for creating something with such passion and love.

    Sherm29

3.5 stars, since I can't really do that let's just go with 4. It's an above average game, the story is extremely interesting and unique. But I do have a few issues with the game

    1. Let's address the elephant in the room. The art is bad, and it cannot simply be chalked up to unique art style. The art style is genuinely objectively bad. You can see that the artist tried their hardest but they simply fail to understand human anatomy at a fundamental level to even "stylize" it. But you get over the bad art pretty quickly honestly

    2. The second issue I have with this game is that unsuspecting choices can lead you to game overs and most of the time it's impossible to find out which one is the correct choices. There is no use of intuition invoked in those choices, you're just given a couple of choices, one of them will end up with game over and the other one is the correct one.

    3. Number 3 is the inconsistency in power, it gets pretty fucking annoying seeing MC fucking defeating someone who has never failed in battle before and then next moment he is getting mine controlled by a pathetic fat fuck who hasn't even developed his powers fully. Not only the inconsistency in power, the game continues to indicate that MC is very unique and powerful yet every foe he meets, somehow MC always has to be slightly weaker than them. The writer constantly keeps MC at a disadvantage over others and that gets annoying as fuck pretty soon.

    4. Boobs. In this universe Kim kardashian and Megan thee stallion would be considered flat chested. The milk from one boob could end world hunger in this game. This game contains sex fiend black goopy alien monsters, sexually transmitted superpowers, MC having the ability to shapeshift into a fly yet the boobs are the most supernatural aspect of this game.

I've been keeping up with this game for years, I played straight through the beginning and I was hooked. Everything from the characters, to the lore/world building, to the amazing fight scenes. Almost every detail is thoroughly written out. And there are some flaws, maybe some variety issues and unavoidable scenes; but this game continues to always improved and keep me in suspense. Amazing work WW and can't wait to see more <3

    4.5 rating for me

Even though the story is definitely alike those of mangas & comics, it's catchy enough to keep me hooked. That being said, it doesn't mean it's without flaws.

My biggest grips with it is the whole H.E.R.O. thing and the lack of changes regarding MC's behaviour depending on the choices made. I could never believe that someone who's actively being rebellious would meekly follow orders or blindly accept anything from the very people who proved on more than one occasion that they're a bunch of power tripping fascists.

Besides the story, well, if you compare it to the sexual content then it's clear that you should really just play this game if you like the story because it simply dwarf whatever sexual content can be found in it.

If anything I think that if you treat this game as a manga or comic with sexually explicit content in it then you have good chances to be more than pleased with the experience. If that's what you're looking for then you should give it a shot.

Had a blast playing it despite not being complete.

I adore the way the dev manages to tell the story, how they think about the powers and make them feel organic. The characters can largely be seen as assholes, but that's kind of the charm. No one getting fucked up by a monster and getting super powers is going to be quite alright. With corruption as an element, you could even perceive it as them losing themselves and what they think they should be like.

The only bad thing someone can point out is that the art isn't top tier, but personally I find it refreshing. It's a new art style compared to the almost copy pasted style a lot of the other games have. The scenes don't drag on requiring thirty clicks to get back into the story. It just feels natural, save for a few of the monster scenes with pheromones.

Looking forward to future updates, and supporting them ^.^

Outstanding, truly inspired work. In an era where most creators opt to draw attention to their projects with amazing 3D CGs, WW takes a different route and I think their work benefits greatly from it. The story is front and center at all times, and while the writing isn't going to be winning any awards- it's far too lacking in polish- it very efficiently manages to assemble a cast of likable and interesting characters that kept me engaged through my entire playthrough of what's available thus far in ver0.95. The story seems to veer off in many different places at times but overall I'd describe it as an Echi Shonen Battle Manga with a focus on crafting a breathing world and an MC that fucks. It feels like it has the same type of wonderful creatures that you get from mangas like solo leveling and its 15 other clones, where each author isn't doing anything new or unique but rather taking certain well-established concepts and honing in on the aspects that they were passionate about. I could go on, but this is probably long enough to qualify. Overall very solid 8.5/10 in its current state and assuming WW can keep up with its currently massive scope I could easily see it being a 9 to 9.5 once the story is complete and the game gets some overall polish.

I'd honestly give this game a 3.5/5, but I rounded up. It's better than average.

Simply put, the art, song, and cinematography on this game all feel great. It's refreshing to see hand drawn art, and it's also got a lot of hot goth girls.

The story is gripping as well.

Now there's something I want to comment on regarding the game which might surprise you. Despite my earlier praise, it's rough around the edges.

So let me describe my first playthrough, years ago. I wanted to enjoy fun with ladies so I ignored training and spent time with the girls. It ended badly for me. I wasn't unsatisfied by it, I laughed a bit and tried again, going down other small paths and seeing what I was up against. I prioritized training until I couldn't anymore.

I also noticed some fake choices. There's nothing wrong with the occasional fake choice. It gives a sense of control over the mc. It reminds me I'm making decisions, even meaningless ones.

Now, it has quite a few of these. You can ask for a drink in the casino, for instance, and all drinks lead to the same outcomes.

But some situations have choices that SHOULD have no meaning, yet have pivotal roles in characters. As an example, a character's death is determined by an extremely abstract choice you make. It's literally as meaningless as "go left or right."

And even if you pick the correct choice here, if you lack the skill requirement, it's irrelevant.

I didn't want to go through gender bender route, and considering the reward for such a route is hooking up with Liz, who is a glory-hole slutbag for Jared, (the highschool bully archetype at the college who took everyone and their grandma's virginity) I wasn't particularly interested.

But, if you want better outcomes to fights and choices you make, you need to train "skill." And skill is a stat you need to raise in the genderbender route early, or you won't have much of it later.

But what happens in the gender bender route? You train as a cheerleader for Jared and his team. You stuff your breast all over him in one scene. You get an unavoidable bj if you're a futa from the girl who slept with the entire town (except you). Then, after going through that entire route, you're occasionally spammed with options to whore yourself out as a girl. It's all so tiresome.

There's more of this in other areas. Specific choices must be made for specific results, and this feels a bit like the sandbox crumbles on itself. Eventually I realized I wasn't influencing the world as much as the world was influencing me. I was doing things I didn't want to just to achieve results.

So, I could praise this game for a number of things, and detail the characters and what I liked and didn't like about them.

However, I gotta say, a lot of things the game promises (this content is optional) is half-hearted as a promise, you need to traverse specific paths for optimized stats or you'll miss out on events later on in the game.

Superhuman is a game I had my eye on and played for quite a while. I have high hopes for it and so far it's doing amazing in delivering. The story is surprisingly entertaining and some things I didn't even know would happen as it's a pron game but they like going beyond. The art style may not be for everyone but I enjoyed it and at some points even laughed at.(<Not in a rude way) Of course, as the game isn't finished it has bugs and typos. There are many dead ends, and if you hit one and didn't save, that's it. Game over. But if you read the description you knew what you were getting into. One thing I want to point out about this game is it has many paths that you could shut down if you want or continue and make it better (or worse but it depends on your fetish). I can't wait for the game to finish and when it does I'll have to change this review but until then I look forward to the end.

Great game, honestly holy shit. Interested on how the story is progressing now and the thing i love in this game is how the MC is progressing hes not weak and overpowered just balanced and making the Level 5s seem like Gods. And i hope that it stays that way.

(Though i find problematic here is that there is no indication on how your choices affected the game . I am kinda writing this because i literally missed all Amber content, but nonetheless only a personal problem.)

But anyway its a great game hell even without the sex id still play this.

TDLR: Review as of version 0.951, a mix of both good and bad. Depending on your preference, this might be a really good game or... something way less so.

    Pros
    • Good writing.

    • Proper english.

    • Sex scenes well written.

    • Interesting concept and worldbuilding.

    • LIs not the usual stereotypes found in many harem games. Many LIs much more cynical and amoral than usual, which is refreshing for a change.

    • Male NPCs aren't just evil and/or stupid assholes. The relationship with some of the MCs male friends are actually more complexed and nuanced than his relationship with most of the LIs. That's both a pro and a con.

    • Good and varied characters in general, if maybe a tad too cynical/evil/arrogant, then again, kind of realistic when taken into account that they're superhuman (and/or mobsters/super rich power brokers). Power corrupts and all that.

    • Shitload of content. Many, many hours of gameplay. Both a pro and a con, see below.

    • Many choices, of which some matters while others don't. Many different ways to affect the story and the relationships, not just the choice between playing the hero or playing the villain (that there is such a choice is nice).

    • The option to actually kill some of the LIs and fuck buddies! That's dark, but also fitting for those who prefer playing the villain.

    • Inhumanly huge cock actually causing pain/discomfort, not only pleasure. Realistic and nice for those of us who find that enticing.

    • Males taller and bigger than females. A low bar very many games struggle to clear.
    Cons
    • Subpar artwork. Get's better about halfway through the game, but never really good.

    • Most LIs similar in apperance, partly due to the low quality of the artwork (this factor is however not improved as the general quality of the art improves, LIs look very much alike for the entire game), but also due to choice, see below for example.

    • Low variety in the tits departament. Breasts range in size from huge to inhumanly large for almost all females in the game. This is perhaps a question of taste, but I think a little bit more variety would have been preferable, not the least as there is no good explanation for why the MC is surrounded by such absurd amounts of tit-flesh (yeah, for some of the superhuman females, there is an explanation, but not for all the huge titted non superhuman females). Also makes the above point worse.

    • Making the wrong choice can lock the player in for an automatic game over further down the road. This is a really bad design choice, as it is infuriating to have to reload an old save and try to figure out where it went wrong. How ever, as long as you as a player *always* maximize all training sessions and go for power if you're playing as a villain or skill if you're playing as a hero, you should be fine.

    • Bloated fight scenes. You can actually spend half an hour just reading through one single fight scene and the, seemingly, never ending back and forth that these entail. The fight scenes are way more detailed and explicit than the sex scenes.

    • Low sex to time ratio. Partly due to the above, but there is also a shit ton of general story, character arc building, exposition about the world and so on. Eventhough it is well written, I lost interest after a while and just clicked and clicked and clicked and clicked until I got to either sex or parts that I found interesting. Even so, it takes a lot of time between the bouts of sex.

    • Wimpy villain-MC when it comes to sex. Even if you play the MC as a villain, which means you can slaughter innocents, kill your friends and LIs, eat/consume the people you kill (kind of torturous, as they usually are alive when you start feeding) and of course murder begging enemies and so on, the amount of dark sexual choices are veeery limited. The MC can perv on his LIs, grope one or two without their consent and finally blackmail a female adversary of sorts into having sex with him, but that's all there is as of yet. And if you do the blackmail, it turns out that the woman in question is very attracted to the MC (that was kind of obvious from the get go), can't wait to be fucked by him and enjoys it immensly when it's happening, so even though technically non consent, it doesn't feel like it. Even when you choose to spare a female enemy that's been trying to kill the MC for the expressed purpose of fucking her, you still get no option to rape. This is really a lost opportunity, considering how dark the game is (can be) apart from the sex. It also feels very unrealistic. Why would an MC who is super horny all the time and enjoying all the evil shit mentioned above *NOT* simply take what he wants, at the very least from his female enemies? It obviously isn't about moral compunction or that he can't be turned on by the prospect of fucking a woman he coerced into having sex...

    • Blue balling players with an impregnation fetish. In the same way as players who like darker sexual themes will be disappointed (see above), players who have an impregnation fetish will be severly blue balled by the game. The MC can't stop thinking about impregnation and how all the unprotected sex and cumming inside he's having and doing should lead to pregnancy, but almost every time the MC has unprotected sex with a new female, she will, out of the blue, inform him that she's on the pill, so it was perfectly fine that he hosed her womb down with a gallon of his cum (and that includes the virgins...). In other cases, the game even goes out of it's way to explain that the MC (probably) is sterile because of his monster/super powers. What's the point of all this? Either do the impregnation (and let the player choose if they want to cum inside or outside and maybe have some reaction from the females, maybe not all of them would be fine with him cumming inside if they don't have any protection), or don't, but then don't have the MC musing about impregnation every time he has sex. It will only tease and blue ball players who enjoy impregnation fantasies. To be fair, there is actually an option for impregnating a female monster NPC towards the end of the present version and I'm guessing there will be more such options further down the road, but still, very annoying.

    • Harem achieved without effort. Female jealousy is unheard of. MC even openly talks about the harem he plans to enact without anyone reacting. Once more, an opportunity lost, as the story and world building could easily accomodate an alpha male villain dominating his LIs into submission and acceptance of inclusion in his harem, but instead he just gets his harem without having to do anything.

    • MC mostly passive when pursuing sex. There are few options to actively pursue LIs and other sexual interests, despite the MC being super horny all the time and wanting a harem (see above). Mostly, it's the LIs and other females who come on to the MC. Once they have sex, he can at many times take a more assertive approach, but why not leading up to the sex? If the MC took more initiative, there could also be a lot more sex in the game and the abysmal sex to time ratio could be improved...

    • All seeing player playing an MC that's in the dark. The player gets to see a lot of scenes where the MC isn't present, that reveals central plot lines that the MC is unaware of. Also mind reading, so the player knows the true intentions and feelings of other characters than the MC. Breaks first person immersion. Also contributes to the bloat of the game, as many long scenes are played out completely without the MC or any sort of player interaction. Finally, there are a number of choices where the player knows more about what has happened and why and what the motivations of other characters are and this might affect the player into making a choice he/she wouldn't have, had they only had the MCs more limited knowledge.

I've debated whether or not give this game five stars, but ultimately decided to go ahead despite some of it's pretty obvious flaws simply because of how much I have enjoyed it.

Superhuman is a story of a pretty avarage guy, just about to start college, who unexpectedly (and somewhat dramatically) gains superpowers - he can shapeshift, read memories by touch, and becomes far stronger and toughter than he was before. While there are some horror elements sprinkled in from the very beginning, at first it feels like a pretty usual porn silliness with a supernatural twist to keep things fresh. MC pushes some bullies around, starts gathering harem, explores his power to get laid, or transform into a girl for a epic masturbation session - you know the drill. However, gradually things get more serious: as we learn more about the world and dangers in it, as MC gets more and more powerful (which, of course, garners attention), stakes get higher and higher. Eventually, you get to a point where you have a large scale battles, secret organizations, eldritch deities and so on - and somehow, it still feels like a coherent story. You can also have monster sex, or even get a bit monstrous during intercourse yourself, if that's your thing.

Main strength of this game is writing, especially later on. It's not a great literature for the ages, and some parts can be a bit rough (mostly at the beginning), but it is still a ton of fun - it feels like a good webnovel, a great guilty pleasure to get lost in - think Worm with porn. For the most part, characters are interesting too. You also get some choices regarding morality: you can be pretty twisted and monstrous if you want to, play as a (mostly) stand up guy, or hover somewhere in between. Game isn't finished, so it's hard to say how much any of that will matter in the long run, but it's certainly nice to have some flexibility. I also have to praise how Superhuman shows progression of the MC - there is a lot of attention paid to improving and training your powers, and it's quite satisfying.

There are, however, some flaws that I must mention here. First of all, game is a bit rough at the beginning, with uneven writing and sometimes campiness that makes it hard to take whole thing seriously. It can be good for a porn game not to take itself too seriously, but I think it goes too far here sometimes. That, for the most part, gets rectified later in the game (kudos to author for improving). Secondly, while you have a good selection of potential partners (and you can get all of them too, if you want), not all of them are equally interesting, or integrated with a story. At least one character is kinda ridiculous most of the time (police officer always dressed like a stripper, which game even points out), and after a certain point most of the girls get kinda left behind by the story - they are still present, and an effort is made to have them included to some degree, but currently they are not really central to the main storyline. Except one girl that pretty much becomes deuteragonist of the whole game. Which I personally was happy about, but I can imagine some people might be a bit salty if their preffered waifu doesn't get nearly as much spotlight. I wil however repeat that the game is not over yet and author could certainly reinstate some of the cast members to more prominent role.

The last mark agains Superhuman are visuals. Let's be honest, I think that they are rather bad in the beginning, and I have a distinct impression that author was way better at drawing monsters than humans. The fact that some of the women have boobs the size of a small european country doesn't help either - I like sizely tits, I really do like them quite a lot, but there can be too much of a good thing, and it's clearly the case here. By consequence, many of the lewd scenes are not really that exciting. That also get's better, slowly but surely, and currently new updates look ok for the most part - still not amazing, but improvement is substantial, and hand drawn graphics have their own charm that sets this game apart from hundreds of near identical garbage with the same souless, 3D models (obviously there are great games with renders here too, but I hope that you know what I mean).

Despite those flaws, Superhuman is still one of the most interesting projects on this site. There is a ton of content here, and it's still not done. It's a bit rough around the edges, but in my opinion the worldbuilding and enjoyment you get from progressing your story, and building up your powers far outweights any flaws this game has.

    Review for v0.951

This game is so packed with content that it's hard to even really know where to begin with this review. I could write some lengthy paragraphs detailing all the ways this game shines, but truthfully this is a rare case where I feel like spoiling anything that happens in this would be a crime. Suffice to say, I enjoy this game a lot.

Superhuman is a story-based AVN before anything else, and that is what I enjoy most about the game by far. It's captivating. One of its best aspects is how it's not just ham-fistedly black and white. The game has subverted my expectations many times with characters and plot beats that really defied my predictions and had me theory crafting about both the story and characters throughout most of the game. Everything exists in this gray area that really keeps you guessing.

This actually flew under my radar for three years somehow. But honestly, I'm glad it did. This game FEELS like it has three years worth of content. I can't remember the last time I could sit down and binge a lewd game to this degree, and even more so, have that feeling of eagerly awaiting what comes next the entire time. A large cast of intricate and intriguing characters, fun action scenes, a wild ride of a plot, great world building, real choices, the list goes on. The game has so many great aspects to its story, and it really shows by how many people it's managed to get invested into it. Myself included.

Art is subjective, but there's no denying that it's pretty rough for a large percentage of the game. That being said, what the art does have is charm. I think you can pretty easily get used to it and eventually find that it really does enhance the game. Not to mention it also gets a pretty big overhaul/improvement deeper into the game.

This is also not without flaws. Imo the weakest part of the game is the sex scenes by a mile, and it's a bit of a shame for me honestly. They do not feel like they get nearly the same care as the story. With a few exceptions, I found a lot of them to be unsatisfyingly short. Ending almost as quick as they start. A lot of them also just lack on good angles, and could also use more angles in general. They really just don't have enough meat to them. I'd almost use the world underdeveloped.

At the same time, credit where credit is due. I love the variety. Being able to sex some of the monsters, letting us occasionally change into a girl, giving us full use of the tentacles, it's fun. I actually think the game could use a lot more of those scenes. You can never have enough monster girls, the stranger the better.

While I can go much deeper on many things, why waste time say lot word when few word do trick? The game really is great and provides a nice breathe of fresh air from the usual. If you're someone who enjoys their porn games with a good story, this is a very easy recommend.

Great chuuni VN. Honestly not what I've expected when I started reading, but was pleasantly surprised by it.

    Pros and cons:
+ Good world building, narrative pacing is superb for a western porn VN, infodumps are not overwhelming and I was interested to learn more. Even read most of the optional stuff, like news on TV and some branching choices.
+ Entertaining characters, most of them are also morally grey and have their own goals.
+ Battle shounen manga stuff done right, powerlevel wanking and everything. I like this shit, you may not.
+ Narrative doesn't push too hard into edginess and serious stuff, you have plenty of relaxed situations where you just have some fun with friends, and I like author's sense of humor.

+- Desing can be a bit amateurish, specifically design of female characters. I got used to it, but still, not a big fan. It's alright I suppose.

    - Not a fan of the visuals overall. They don't really substract from the experience and I even grew to like some of the stuff, but still, not my cup of tea.
    - Ero scenes do nothing for me, I click faster whenever they come up.

Based on Superhuman version 0.951, on 06/07/2023.

For a game that initially did not impress, I was surprised at how invested I became in the characters and the overall story in general. Excellent writing, well-timed music and sound effects, and varied and expressive hand-drawn renders lead to an outstanding experience leaving you quite literally on the edge of your seat as character development and plot twists keep you guessing as to where it’s all heading.

The art style does take some getting used to. The artist clearly enjoys massive breasts with characters even joking that their mother is quite tiny at only a D cup. It’s off-putting at first, made worse by the clothing choices of some of the characters making it difficult to take them seriously. This issue does fade into the background as the game progresses and you get used to the fact that Liz is always wearing a thin wife-beater shirt with no bra and massive breasts, or that most of the female characters would be debilitated by their size triple-Z chest if this were the real world. The main character is an interesting sort, standing around seven feet tall with hair covering his eyes which apparently are quite scarred, and this is before he finds out that he’s now a shapeshifter, able to produce arms and tentacles at will as well change his own shape to appear as different people. I would have preferred some variety in the outfits with most characters wearing the same one for every scene, but like with the breast sizes, it’s something you eventually get used to, and I do understand that changing outfits with this type of art style requires a great deal of work.

Like the art style, the adult content is a mixed bag of the “your mileage may vary” sort. Quite a few kinks are available ranging from female/male domination up to monsters and tentacles. Being a shapeshifter, the MC can sprout tentacles for his own use or for use on others, and can also turn into a woman either with or without the expected appendages leading to some optional (and sometimes hilarious) futa content. There’s a little something for everyone with the more extreme content locked behind clear warnings. One character has an NTR route that is very clearly labeled, being warned twice by the author that it’s not reversable and will span multiple instances. While NTR is not my thing, I was surprised to find, on a second playthrough, that you have the option of getting brutal, bloody revenge as opposed to the more typical beta male reaction to it you find in other adult visual novels. Of course, the most important question is, “Did the adult content work?” Yes. Yes it did. It’s not as effective as the more common Unity and Blender models with animations, but I found myself genuinely caring about the characters which made the scenes work despite the absence of animations and the limited number of renders.

Audio is another high point of the game with liberal use of sound effects, especially during action scenes, that made it feel alive and exciting. Coupled with excellent renders of unique monsters with outlandish abilities firing off at characters with equally outlandish abilities, culminating in explosive coup de gras’s that had me shouting in triumph at the screen as it happened.

So why am I giving a game I was initially planning to give 3 stars a 5 star rating? The story. The author is an exceptional writer. He does an excellent job of developing all of the characters you interact with while keeping track of what each character knows and what their abilities are, and what others know of their abilities, requiring a skill for outlining that is rare in this genre. Seemingly innocuous occurrences in one chapter can have dire consequences later on. Letting a Zombie live in one chapter can result in a series of murders in the next, or choosing a more corrupt path can drastically change how scenes play out, with your character being far more aggressive and others being more fearful of them. The overall story is linear, but you never feel like your choices have no consequences. The author makes liberal use of “Game Over” events which he refers to as Dead Ends. Some of these are mildly annoying but most are worth choosing as they will reveal plot points that hint at what’s to come.

One particular Game Over occurs rather by surprise as the author recommends that you choose the training option whenever it’s available, but if you raise your power too quickly, there’s a Game Over that occurs when you choose to fight against the one who created you. This particular Dead End leads to a lengthy sequence, probably ten to fifteen minutes in length. To avoid spoilers, I’ll just say that what occurs hints at your creator’s motivation that you won’t learn about until far later in the game, and also drops hints of a rich landscape of world building to come where the relationship between monsters, humans, superhumans and gods will be fully fleshed out. Thankfully, the Game Overs usually occur rather soon after the choice that spawned them allowing for autosaves to be used to return to the choice, with only a couple of exceptions. Fair warning: If you get the option to kill the best friend of one of the main antagonists (which only occurs if your choices lean towards brutal murderer as opposed to stalwart hero), save your game first. She’s not going to be happy.

While discussing this game with a friend, I realize that I know a great deal about the families of almost every character. All of the love interests, the best friend, as well as non-love interest side characters have numerous events which flesh out their back stories, making them easy to relate to. This makes their events more impactful, as well as the tragedies that befalls some of them later on.

While it’s clear where the author is getting a lot of his ideas from (Berserk, My Hero Academia, Pokemon, etc), he is never a slave to those inspirations and clearly cuts his own path that borrows ideas without plagiarizing them. Action sequences are well-written, well-rendered, and easily understood. When Michael runs through a series of tactics in an effort to defeat a worthy foe, we can easily follow along and keep track of the battlefield, understanding why he’s making a choice, how his enemy is trying to counter it, and how Michael has predicted that counter in order to deal even more damage making many battles feel like an epic chess match, with their conclusion being all the more satisfying. Compare this to many blockbuster films where action sequences are so muddied and filled with lens flares that you have no idea who is doing what and when.

The morality of the main groups is of the gray vs gray variety. Will you be the hero who fights against the corrupt powers or will you sink into the amoral swamp and focus on your own power to the detriment of those around you? Maybe ignore all of that mess and instead focus on the choices that will get you the most tail? It’s up to you!

While not without its flaws, Superhuman has a story that rivals that of the best of the top-rated games on F95. It’s also frequently updated, and the updates are lengthy. The current story took me at least 30 – 40 hours to finish, which is kind of insane given the tiny file size that is well under a gigabyte. Of the 80 or so games I have bookmarked waiting for an update, Superhuman is being added to the very short list of games which I’m genuinely excited to see eventually completed. Sure, the story is the length of a couple full novels, but it’s a journey you won’t regret.

A couple of gripes that I hope are addressed in alter versions: Given the number of Dead Ends, it would be nice to see a button returning you to the choice that led to it rather than returning you to the main screen. Another popular title that uses Game Overs for comedic effect does this and it’s a welcome addition, saving steps that take you out of the story, even if it’s only momentary. I also noticed that quite a few adult scenes were not optional, including scenes I would have preferred to opt out of. An early scene with Christie is a notable one. I didn’t particularly like the character and would have preferred an option to turn her down rather than the MC just going along with it without an option to abstain. Still, these are more nitpicks than genuine issues. The game is exceptional despite them and I look forward to the next update with great anticipation.

A high quality story writing, banger BGM, well expanded setting. Not often you see such effort in NSFW game. The choices matter, but slightly punishing not committing to either corruption or purity? Still possible to not get into dead.ends if you prefer to walk middle-path like me.

    v0.951

    Pros:
-The writing. Easy to digest. Not too much exposition at once. The plot is interesting and so are most of the characters shown.
-Amount of overall content. There is *a lot* of content.
-A lot of sex scenes. Many feature non-vanilla content (Tentacles, Monster,Muscle, NTR (avoidable), Futa, Ear-Sex(?)...etc)

    Neutrals:
-The art. It starts out pretty bad, but then gets better and better. At the later half of the game the art is rather good.
-The dev clearly likes boobs and he likes them large. I got nothing against big boobs, but a bit of variety would have been nice. With the exception of one character (and one small side character) all women have either large or comically large boobs.

    Cons:
-Sadly no choices shape the plot in any form. You can run into dead ends and have some limited influence on your standing with the various women in the game, but the MC will always undergo all the same story beats.

I've been following this game since the first few releases. Back then it was an oddball because the MC could only have sex only with his female form, the action (as in fighting) was minimal and the most involved scene was a deadend.

What kept me though was the style, atmosphere and the writing.

Everything is so consistent that anything written can stay relevant throughout the game and provide exposition. There is a reason things happen which is a great thing because you know that the dev has a plan and eventually the game will give you all the good things.

The style and atmosphere also helped in that regard, because early on when the game was barebones, the reader couldn't possibly know how kinky this game will turn out to be, or if it's going to worth the time, but by observing the behavior of the characters and the overarching theme of edginess and "shades of grey over black and white", you can get a sense for what's coming.

Fast forward a few months and this has become not just my favorite smut game, but the consistency I've talked about earlier has turned it's universe into something worth talking about, theorizing, trying to decipher what's going on from the crumbs of exposition that the dev masterfully releases over time.

    The characters:

While it's fair to say that the majority of the characters share some edginess and apathy, they still manage to be unique and distinctively human, despite many of them not actually being human.

WW doesn't expose the characters directly to you. He allows you to observe them and get a first impression before meeting them. This is refreshing because he can keep the conversation light and to the point, without having to use the initial dialogue to completely bloat the conversation with introductions and exposition like a lot of games do.

There is also a lot of subversion of tropes.

There is a huge cast and due to the general theme of edginess, a lot of the characters are really extreme, which creates a "love them or hate them" situation. In fact, if you take a look in the thread discussion, you will see that people have vastly different opinions about them. There is something for everyone there and the way you think about the MC can easily influence who is good for you and who is not.

The MC is easygoing, seemingly of average intelligence with strokes of genius. He isn't necessarily a good guy although you can play him as one, and in his past he has been both bullied and the bully (although the later is limited to mostly cheapshotting).

His power allows for great flexibility so the way he progresses can be wild and thought provoking but he also has a lot of limitations which actually make the result far more realistic than what I expected.

The game itself is pretty linear but there is some choice for minor events, like for example you can choose if you want to be a hero or not which will end up affecting the expectations of the public and a few scenes, you can permanently kill some characters.

Additionally a lot of dialogue has multiple choices that while they don't do too much, they allow the players to express themselves more accurately. I'm generally happy with these choices because there usually exists an option that I was thinking about in some shape or form.

    The universe:

I don't want to get too in depth here because I want you to experience this yourself, but what I can say is that there are A LOT of things going on, and they are extremely consistent, which is beyond amazing for a project made by a single person.

Every night you can choose to watch TV, and it's a huge lore dump about the state of society and it's history, all narrated in a propagandistic style that let's the player know right of the bat that this version is what the people think that happened, but the reality is vastly different. Eventually you learn more about history, but this is literally NOTHING compared to the lore about the monsters and the supernatural stuff.

The amount of care that it takes to cultivate such extensive and consistent lore is impressive, it shows, and in my opinion it's what makes it compete for the top spot.

    _________

    The art:

It has an overly stylistic approach, but the art itself, especially earlier in the game, is inconsistent and at times ugly. However there has been a serious upgrade in visuals in the last few releases, and the makeover of one of the main characters was amazing.

Overall I wouldn't rate the art very high, but it's improving, and if the dev manages to remake the earlier scenes with the new approach, I think it will look spectacular.

I will say however that the visuals work for me and don't really diminish the experience.
    _________

    The sex:

There are a lot of fetishes here which get amplified by the uniqueness of the characters in the cast. Like the art, it's easy to observe the improvements over time. The earlier scenes exist mostly as qualifications for a "porn game", even if the circumstances that lead to them are consistent and mostly natural, but the longer the game goes, the better they get.

The most important part for me is that the game gives you a reason for the sex scene, which makes it very satisfying. For example I like situations where tables are turned, and

Considering that this game isn't half done yet, I expect great many things and I trust that the dev will deliver. I wasn't planning on doing reviews, but I think this game is absolutely worth it and it's underrated even if it's in the top 15.

Keep up the good work WW.

    Pros:
    1. Great art that's only getting better.
    2. Decent story so far that might get better(some things still unclear like what Ella is up to)
    3. It can be hilarious (I loved Amber's encounter with her mom)
    4. Lengthy story with a decent amount of scenes too.
    5. It let's you decide what tags you see and don't see (kinda, only 1 scene I wasn't a fan of so far)
    6. Your choices actually do matter(the things you say, not so much)

    Cons:
    1. The scenes can be lackluster some of them are either too short, boring or a combination of both(not enough cunnilingus)
    2. Almost Everyone is grey.

I definitely recommend this game, mostly due to its interesting and cool story, the world setting, and being unique on this site because of the fight scenes with monsters and the like. It can get pretty edgy and degenerate at parts, although I guess to some that's a plus, but it's not anywhere near the worst offender I've seen. The characterization of the cast is better than most games on the website, although I guess that isn't saying much. To be more specific, the main cast at least has some reasoning and motivations behind their actions and a pretty well-mapped-out personality so far that they've been consistent to; they're not extremely complex or anything, but they don't really need to be and are more than good enough so far, I'd say.

The art is meh, but it's getting better at later parts of the game, although the old art kind of sticks out like a sore thumb in the newer scenes with the main characters who've been around since the beginning and still have older, less impressive sprites standing right next to new characters who have better designed and good-looking ones, so maybe it would eventually be a good idea to rework the sprites of at least the central cast.

One thing I have noticed, though, is the ridiculous boob size of pretty much every female character in this game. Like, seriously, there's big, and then there's BIG; it's absurd. Personally, I think it makes the girls in this game look significantly less attractive and like they have some sort of urgent medical problem, especially Alice; there's one scene on a bed where her boobs are drawn so large you can literally fit like 90% of the rest of her body inside them. But I'm pretty sure it's just a fetish of the creators, which I unfortunately don't share.

This is not some super-in-depth review, but I just wanted to share my thoughts on the game. I look forward to playing the finished version and hope the ending/endings are satisfying.
