My major problem with the game is Ella. No, it's not what you think lol.
Basically, the MC contradicts himself. He says he'll do it himself and rather tackle his problems alone. Yet, when he comes across a hurdle, he runs to Ella instead of figuring it out himself. Then there's the fact that even if you're completely hostile towards Ella, the MC goes back to her like nothing happened. It's like he forgot she insulted him for being weak or that he said fuck her moments ago. Personally, I think he relied on Ella's advice too much early on in game. Some stuff he didn't need to go to her for but did it anyway. For me, that's a problem, narratively, but it's been solved since we joined HERO.
Another problem is Alice. Once again, it's not what you think.
She written too well to the point where other love interests don't actually stand a chance against her. She's by far the most developed love interest in game and that in itself is a problem. I personally like Alice so I don't mind but when you look at the other women, it seems more like they're flings while Alice feels more like our wife. It's not necessarily bad but if the game were to end next update, it would be a fact that Alice is the clear canon ship for the MC. There's some that get close but Alice seems undisputed and the defacto main love interest. For me, that's a problem because I feel like our other women don't get a good enough portion of screen time. That said, it'll likely solve itself in the future like with the Ella problem above.
The last problem that I have is with the monster parent option and the fact that it doesn't have a meaningful impact outside of who appears, the dialogue and how you're addressed.
Now, this isn't a major problem for me but I would've liked that our powers developed differently, depending on our choice or had a bonus effect to it. Say I'm the spawn of the 4th and I reached Level 3. Memory Echo would be used from a distance compared to if I chose the 3rd, where it would require touching. Or, say I was the spawn of the 3rd. My transformation and regeneration would be more in line with Ella than if I chose the 4th. Basically, this was the problem I had since learning the difference between the 3rd and 4th. As everyone could probably tell, I love the 4th's Memory trait the most from all of the theories and new abilities I thought of for it. So, if there's one thing I would "fix", it would be more difference between abilities, depending on who you chose in the beginning.
That's all of them, at least that I could recall at this point in time. While I do enjoy the game, that doesn't mean I don't have some problems with it. I usually don't voice them though because they usually fix themselves over time or I understand why it's that way and that it can't be helped. That's also why I rarely comment when otherpeople voice their own criticism for the game. Because I understand that the game isn't perfect at everything and there's some problems that people are allowed to voice their thoughts on. So yeah, those are my semi "major" problems with the game personally.
Oh, and sex scene variations. Also some of the lore being locked behind singular choices. I have a post coming soon about the sex scene stuff so I'll leave that one for now but the lore being split even more between choices with, seemingly, no chance to learn it afterwards is a bit too much. I feel like if I'm researching monsters, I should be able to read it all in a single playthrough and not load saves constantly to get the info. I'll leave this here though because I'm sure everyone understands my problem with this one.

Alice is most definitely the most well written romance option in the game currently especially since she is a very central figure in the arc involving Klaus which allowed us to build up a good idea of who she is and if we wanted her.
My primary issue is I believe Weird rushed too quickly into the HERO stuff since whatever we are doing involving the girls will ALWAYS be overshadowed by the much larger events going on with HERO and SIN as well.
Although in fairness Emily and the other girls are also overshadowed by Alice and Klaus stuff as well since that arc was major enough that we kinda forget about the other girls while we focus on Klaus and Alice.
I feel like if we had a series of other arcs for the other girls early on that would of perhaps improved things for those girls. I mean Liz has her whole NTR thing (although we can save her) it didn't really hit with me.
I liked the whole thing of helping Emily build up confidence but it fell into the background in comparison to the events ongoing (was very mundane for a super fella honestly).
Amber...well the whole cam girl thing (it not being her) and supporting her while pretending to be Liz was uh meh...I guess Weird is going to do something major with them in the next update but I feel like its too little too late (since its very far into the game already most people already have a set I do like or don't like of them).
We do have 2 potential other main girls that Weird has eluded to them having a greater presence.
Mia and Claudia.
Mia was our magical mcguffin that we just had to save despite not knowing her long at all (I mean she is a cute flat chest girl so I dig her).
Claudia is fucking main girl material and so damn wholesome...if Weird does her right she'll overshadow Alice easily.
Edit: Oh yeah Tiffany...forgot she existed again. I feel like again, if we waited a bit longer for the HERO stuff Tiffany's whole romance could of been tied in fucking amazingly with the HERO stuff but we haven't seen her much.
TLDR: I feel like W.W rushed too fast into HERO stuff which led to the other girls being overshadowed although they were still overshadowed by Alice's arc with Klaus.

It begs the question tho about Emily at least...what if the player just up and decides to not help her and ignore her content? Will she still get a monster or will she get fucked up and turn into one herself since the MC didn't help her build confidence.
I'm actually down for such a thing and gives players an actual reason to ignore things like that (actions have consequences...or rather lack thereof).

I mean, MOST VNs have a canon waifu. I think you could say this game has 3 that are story based, but one is "evil" and the other is "sweet" and with the tone of the game (darkly heroic) the one in the middle has the most weight to it.
Like they said, it's Ella for the Evil Wife, Mia for the Good Wife, and Alice for the "Neutral Wife" and then you have various harem members for various proclivities.
Amber and Liz for twins.
Jess and Tess for Cheerleaders.
Demi and Clover for "Me"
Emily for "Gothicc, but not crazy/evil"
Angelina for "dobonhonkeros"

And then various 1 scene stands, who don't get side quests.

No nonsense, I honestly do want to be able to turn Shadow into a "Superhuman". She could be like Emily's sidekick for when she gets her powers. It would also solve her age issue. I just don't want the brain dead MC to have that information (which he does), and when Emily calls to say Shadow is dying he be a clueless dumb fuck on how to help her.
If not turning her then at least getting a better handle on our person shifting abilities like we did with Nikki/the prisoners, so that the dog turned human kinda by default fixes the lifespan no? I know it's OBVIOUS FAR more complex than that but if anyone can do it; it's us or Ella.

Redhead is Jess (and honestly I hated her but nowhere near enough to put on the must die list of course lol) but grew to like her a bit during the cheerleader arc that was goin on although she doesn't learn our identity until later (I don't remember if the MC ever revealed it to her...in any case she most def found out when everyone else did via Del).

Perhaps Claudia will be the Good Wife? Unlike Mia who we barely interact with on a person level, Claudia's very few interactions in the game are with us, like literally every time we've seen her so far.
I agree with you 100% on the Alice and Ella Neutral and Evil main Wives. Cause it's pretty hard to NOT acknowledge Ella even if you don't like her, and Alice is in pretty much all the major arcs as well.
What they all have in common though is that none of them have a route like the other girls, they are unavoidable. The plot quite literally forces you to interact with these three throughout the game one way or another. While Alice and Ella are far more prevalent, we may see more of Claudia in the future once she gets her powers.
