You realize you've misread/misunderstood me in both quotes?Pretty sure neither Amber or the player showed any romantic interest towards each other before the game.
Liz on the other hand came off as a sociopath and out of the players league to me. She also didn't really want a relationship. Obviously the events in the romance and in a fucked up way the NTR route has changed her mind. Its a pretty normal thing to happen. idk how she is lowering her standard when the Player becomes literally one of the best people on earth lol.
I highly doubt Alice would even take a 2nd look at the player before his transformation. Amber and Liz were one his best friends growing up idk man.
Nah Liz had a reputation for getting around even before the university.
Amber had hints of liking the player, but again, pushed him away.
Your description of Liz is pretty on point, that's correct. The player never had a chance with her, she was a certified size queen and definitely has a type for built/athletic types. The best the player could get from her was a pity fuck, which was weirdly off the table once he became her type (temporarily)
The thing about standards isn't about how good the MC is, its that Amber always acted like a prude and pretended to be disgusted by sex stuff and perverted acts in general when she later freely admits to have having a few hook-ups while in university even when dealing with all her drama and stuff (which is fair, if player is going to sleep around, no reason why she can't), but as soon as the player clears up her drama, she's suddenly more than happy to bang his brains out and is even encouraging him to get liz in on it if he can handle both of them.
Alice absolutely wouldn't spared a glance at him as he was, and that holds true to how he currently is. He didn't win her based on his looks though, he won her over through his actions. If he keeps the same attitude and mentality, even if he lost his powers, she'd stick with him. She's driven by his actions and results, not his body, which is the only factor that changed for Liz and Amber.
