There are few games from F95 that are also on steam. Don't think they have an issue with "Adult" games as long as they don't break their rules.
1.0 still planned for this year, nothing to negate that was said on stream.
Thing is, WW said in his first ever stream that he isn't sure how he will deal with the continuation of the story. He made it sound like it's possible he will put SH on hiatus and work on other things for a time.
I mean his first ever stream was a long time ago and he hasn't recently spoken of putting SH on hold. The big 1.0 thing is just to rework the entire game so far to fit more in line with his goals for the end game, which he probably has a better idea of by now as well as retroactively adding some content where he feels it's needed. But unless he says something about putting SH on hold now or in the near future I wouldn't worry about it. If he was considering it recently he probably would have said something about it...he generally says something about all things he's considering, like potentially splitting the game into two, putting an end to Mia's content(which in yesterday's stream he only answered a Mia question with we'll see, maybe), etc. He does tend to speak of what's on his mind in regards to the future of the game and it doesn't seem like a hiatus has been on his mind recently.
Technically he again avoided to talk about it in the last stream. Someone asked him what percentage of the story is completed, and he gave the old cop-out answer of 98.5% complete, referring to the version number, which everyone knows is bollocks as his versioning is inconsistent..
I think that has more to do with him trying to keep spoilers and the story close to the chest. He probably doesn't want to say that this is only half or a third or whatever he may have planned in the long run. We still got at least 4th evolution to go, trials for 5th evolution, the actual 5th evolution, and possibly more beyond. I don't think he'll rush the trials either.
Is it though? He has given so many spoilers about the things to come, including plans for characters, foreshadowing and more. He even heavily implied that Cole wasn't going to die. Why is it so hard for him to talk about his plans after v1.0?

Parasite Black is one that is usually suggested when that question is asked, it is also in renpy. Though personally I can't think of any other that matches the quality of this one.
Not gonna lie this was probably my biggest worry recently. I mean him splitting it is a good business decision. Finish this up and update the entire thing to the standards we expect now instead of the somewhat....uneven game/art we had years ago. Then slap it on Steam, earn a bunch of money and go into the sequeal.
Well, I'm one of the people who don't mind WW taking a break from SH and starting another work.
What if he decides do end 1.0 with MC and his friends leaving the monster world and seeing hell on earth? It's not the smartest choice a dev could make because starting a hiatus after a cliffhanger is guaranteed to anger a lot of people, but it's also a way to hype some when the sequel releases.
