Those are set interactions in the story. You can't alter them much. I think a better way to say it is that those are linear things that can't be diverted. You need to interact with Alice to progress the Mafia side. You also have to be neutral towards Ella and be oblivious to her behavior or else it wouldn't be justified for him to mindlessly run to her at every chance when he's "stuck" and can't progress. Pretty much, she's a forced mentor that some MCs didn't even ask for.

I disagree. Just because Ella is stronger, that doesn't mean you have to deal with her. It's not even a power thing. Not referring to you, but a lot of people are under the illusion that not wanting to interact with Ella means you want to fight her or something. That's not the case. It's about MC saying one thing and doing the complete opposite towards her like he never said it. That has nothing to do with power. MC is being forced to interact with her and the choices don't matter.
Thanks, but right after i commented that I played the party scene and Oh my fucking good, there is no way she not a villain right!? Please tell me MC has half a braincell, and please tell me she's not going to be the Sakura of the story

You guys are way too emotional for our MC. He isnt a complete self-insert. If you tend to bitch about "little things" you will be disappointed with his behavior at times as - unlike you - he doesnt give that much of a fuck and just shrugs and keeps pushing forward.

He isnt even really able to dislike/hate cole or tanos thaaat much, less than you seem to dislike ella, and ella's at least crazy in the sheets :ROFLMAO:

So yeah, stop bitching and just shrug it off
If a chick I know single-handedly is responsible for a massacre that has one of my best friends that could've been one of those victims, then yeah I will "bitch" about it. Sorry I'm not a sociopath

You will eventually be able to be antagonistic to Ella, in fact you will even miss scenes with her by doing that. However she will still be a constant in Mc's life up until last update, no matter if you have a good or bad relationship with her. Though i do believe that following the path you are going will make her an enemy one day.

The discussion of Ella being "evil" or not is also a huge one here, we still don't have the full scope of her plans or even intentions so you will find people arguing both cases.

Well, the MC kinda is ... at least a little bit :ROFLMAO: he's very very apathetic

Edit: But reading all your comments, everything is very different than you seem to imagine i think. This is not the type of story you imagine it to be, just let it surprise you. Everything is very grey here instead of black and white.

Not even the point. It's not about being "emotional" or wanting MC to "bitch about small stuff". Which some of it isn't small, by no means. It's also not about love or hate either. It's about being given a choice and said choice doesn't reflect what was chosen. If I choose not to interact with someone because I said they're up to no good, and I then turn around to do the opposite like I never said it, you wouldn't find that weird behavior?

Which is why those choices should be removed from the game altogether. No point in the illusion of choice when they don't persist beyond those individual interactions.

OK let's say what you said before about the MC being not a self insert, even though that goes against the whole vibe i got after reading the description of the game. MC Defends Deryl from the "what's his name" blond jock, takes a punch for him and that is not done by the player i.e me. But then where a massacre happens where you would be foolish to think your friend can't be one of the victims, but not just that, your old crush or even a new crush, and youre telling MC just goes "humtidumtidum, Hey Ella that massacre was lit."

I already answered that in my first response.

DrakoGhoul In case you are wondering why I'm yapping instead of just playing the game, I like the story in concept, like the atmosphere, umm... art... I just don't want to get into it later finding out its a kinetic novel disguised as a VN

I think that for your own peace of mind you should know that this story is VERY linear, you can romance or not people, you can spare or not enemies, you can act as a hero or villain, but you will see the same plot, right now no matter what choices people made they will pretty much see the same content, except for whatever they decided not to see so as an example, even if you were antagonistic to Ella she will still be around, the difference is that she won't like you.

So he's just that dumb that he thinks Ella had nothing to do with that party massacre?
No, MC doesn't know about that just yet. He only learns that Ella sent Kenny during the dead end of that fight. At least from what I remember. You have to eat Kenny and not purge to see it. But again, that's a dead end.

The part I'm referring to is a bit later in the story. Not too far from where you're at. MC looks like he has dementia and doesn't remember certain things he just said or what other characters just told him.

I wouldn't say it's a kinetic novel, but some choice legitimately don't matter. Especially in regards to Ella. If you play into it, I would say go full nuclear with her to see the full effect. And by effect, I mean it does nothing because MC defaults to neutral, regardless.

I mean all avn's are somewhat linear even the ones with the most branching. This is a harem which (as usual) doesnt have thiiiiis much branching but you can define your relationship to Ella as you prefer it.

You can even chose to fight her at poins, you just wont win and the story will end lol. So the only MC which story continues is the smart one who plays by her rules as long as he has to because he's weak and only starts to punish or whatever people when he at least has a tiny chance at winning.

Youre at a point where youre not really aware how far the gap between ella and mc is (he is neither), so he plays it safe.

How is that even a debate? She does send Kenny to the party, and does also turn then kill that bob cut jock, yeah they are assholes but that don't mean they gotta die.

So the only consequence she receives for killing people is a cold shoulder from the MC? MC at leasts fights her right after the party or later in the game?

Well as far as i remember Ella didn't send Kenny to the party, she didn't bother to stop him when he did, from my understanding she "left" Mc to take care of him as some sort of test or challenge. The other jock from what i remember was transformed by her and was turning into a monster so this one she did stop.
Now as for your question of "how is that even a debate" i have an example, on the movie Whatchmen a character named Ozymandias detonates a series of bombs across the world in large cities, a horrible and vile action, with the intention to unite USA and USSR against a common enemy and stop a nuclear war, a noble and valid goal.
On Ellas point of view, as she will eventually explain, things will get far worse than now when she reaches her goal, but ultimately the world will be a much better place than the alternative. Since we still don't know what the fuck this even means you will find people both defending and accusing her.

In terms of consequences, she will suffer then, not by Mc's hands , but i believe you will have the chance to stop her eventually. Mc is capable of fighing her (and even putting up a worthy fight) but she is far too powerfull to be defeated by him, for now.

As you keep asking questions youre obviously not this bothered about spoilers.

Ella seems to be a "results no matter how" personality and this isnt a story about rescuing innocent people spider-man style. Ella has a lot of knowledge and her actions and plan seem to be related to the end of mankind somewhat

If you know everyone will die anyway soon, how far are you ready to go to be able to change the outcome? She throws challanges in mcs way too which could easily kill him, but if he isnt able to overcome them, he will die anyway, thats kinda her mindset.

Its very dubious at this point still what her true goals are.

Edit: You can fight her and die

To be devil's advocate for Ella and her "get stronger, anyone, everyone, by any means" mentality: we have in-game examples of civilizations that were annihilated, most likely due to not being strong enough to guarantee their survival in the face of monster's race invasion and their twelve gods.
