I honestly don't think Aos will be an automatic win for the gang.
My prediction is that Aos might just hold the monsters at bay (or maybe not even that), and let Alice fight Daonu. That will demand an evolution, something that, at this point, i'm entirely sure will happen for her.
Michael is basically evolving at the end of the update, and since i don't think a level 3 Alice is enough against Daonu, he will come back and they will fight together.
The reason i say Aos might not do much is because of Amber. I think she will evolve trying to keep them away, but as stated by Ella, she was supposed to evolve AFTER Liz. I think messing up with that will be a problem, maybe even starting monsterfication. Liz will need to evolve to fix that.
As for Mc, i think he might evolve, but after everyone is done from difficult fights. In that case i think it will be after returning to Earth, shit is happening there as we know. So Mc evolving would be the only chance for everyone to survive.

When you think about it though, time wise, Alice and Michael have been Level 2 longer than MC was. It being several months since the Battle of Diamonds and even longer since entering the monster world. Same with Amber and Liz being Level 1 for such a long time. The only other known people with longer times are side characters like Demi, Danica and Angelina. But unlike with Danica specifically, Michael and Alice use their powers to the fullest. Danica only killed humans every so often. Those other two killed humans, monsters and superhumans. Michael you could get away with such a lengthy Level 2, but Alice? The one that got all of the hype about essentially being perfect for 6th and it's trait? And no, I didn't forget about Jake and Laurie, but they have special reasons why their progress were slowed.

I guess you could say that this is a slight issue with showing rather than telling certain events. Because with such a large time progression, so many characters should've already crossed certain thresholds. Instead, WW wants these events to be equally as hype as the MC evolving. But, with that kind of decision, it makes them look slower than others, who they supposedly have more potential than. Like, Tiffany shouldn't still be Level 2 when we get back to earth. Claudia shouldn't be Level 1 as well. But will WW actually do it or will he make them slow to match the main cast progression?

It has been repeatedly said that there really is no set amount of time for evolutions, especially after lv2 (being the only evolution everyone is guaranteed). It usually takes an inciting incident to push a superhuman over the edge to their next evolution, which is a perfect excuse for why major characters' level ups are narratively drive. I can't really blame the author for wanting those moments to be memorable. And if you really need a logical reason for why it seems to be taking geniuses like Alice, Michael and the Twins longer than the MC...

Keep in mind that the MC was forcefully evolved to lv3 because of all of the monster DNA he absorbed during the big battle with SIN. Xanthe Sr compared what happened to a crude version of the Evolution Serum that he gives to HERO officers to artificially level up to Stage 5. If that hadn't happened it likely would have taken the MC a lot longer to evolve, and for all of Alice's amazing abilities you can't say she is more compatible than the MC who was literally half-monster before he even became Superhuman. Michael also took a long time to even figure out how to use his powers setting him back and the Twins have the special consideration of needing to evolve together as a pair while needing to navigate their F'ed up situation.

I would like to see the main case level up same as everyone else, but I also think the Developer has been doing a great job and I'm content to let him cook.

I didn't really need the refresher, I knew all of this. No one said WW should rush their evolutions. If you read my post, you would of noticed that I pointed out that they wouldn't evolve next update. Making most of your post redundant.

No one said Aos is an automatic win for MC's group. The point is that his presence there significantly lowers the stakes. It's why MC didn't mind losing consciousness at the end. Aos point in going back home to the monster world is to get his kin and lead them back to earth. He can't do that if they're fighting to the death. So the risk during the fight will be lowered, unless Aos all of a sudden wants chaos and bloodshed or another Chosen monster and above attacks.

Michael, if he did evolve, got to worry about escaping the pull of the Qliphoth. Since going to the sky is pretty much a death sentence. So beyond plot armor, of course, his hands are full.

Then we got the unknown monster that just got into the scene. It would be funny as hell if it was the Rebis and it's like "yo Deryl, long time no see"
Anyway it's almost certainly Aos.

Freshly evolved lv3 Michael + Aos are enough to resolve the situation and Aos is probably needed to get out of the monster world as well.

Remember though that during her evolution the 6th Apostle told Alice to devour her sire (Aos) in order to become the heir to Space (his chosen?).

I for one would disagree - one freshly evolved level three would not suffice to hold off the horde and Daoine Danu at the same time, honestly even level 4 could fall short to do that:

• Amber and Liz evolution might stop the horde, but they couldn't match Danu, even if because of the twin shenaningans they would evolve straight to level 3, yeah they might get power and new abilities but not the skill to use them, beside the point we saw what Danu would do with liquid enemy - gravity crush, then splat. And the rest is tapped out.
• Michael returning from the sky as fresh level 3 - he would fare better against the Danu, but still I think that might be not enough, her powers are anathema to his, and the horde is still a problem. The same is with Alice - her power is straight up inferior to Danu as level 2, massively so, evolution might level the playing field, might - we didn't really see Danu pushing herself, and the horde still persists to be dealt with.
• I can't see reason why Deryl would evolve, even if he can, and besides that could give him nothing - he's more oriented around prepping the fight, boost to creating things, which he can't really use in the situation would give him nothing. IF his evo would unlock him to be able to puff shit into existence -okay, maybe then, but really, I can't see it happening.
• And finally the MC - he might outperform Danu and deal with the horde at the same time as a level 4, but I wouldn't be certain, he's wouldn't be at great odds with any of the two problems, so most likely someone would die.

For me, the only way everyone manages to live is through outside help, or back-to-back evolutions of more than one person, one just wouldn't cut it.

Having the skill to use the ability is the least concern for a SH in their evo trance and Michael is not coming back anytime soon. Limber and Alice both evolving would be enough to hold off the monster horde and probably Danu.

Probably by the time he leaves his evolution trance he'll have drifted off too far to get back to the party before Aos drags them back to Earth, leaving Michael to find his own way home. We probably won't see him again for multiple arcs.

Alice isn't in the best condition, anger is good fuel, but it's not enough, plus there's the risk of her screwing up her evolution and becoming a monster.

Amber and Liz are seriously injured and even if they heal, it takes time, and more importantly energy, which even if it's large, isn't infinite.

Deryl can't evolve, he doesn't even know if he's capable of it, he's no longer a superhuman, he's a crazy mix between human and monster, maybe he can, but not naturally and not now

One way or another, anything is good for me, as long as I don't get the fucking power of friendship!

Michael wasn't performing rites to keep himself in control within the evolution trance, he was performing rites so he could be in an evolution trance permanently. I don't think losing control would be an issue for Michael at Level 3, and I suspect his Level 2 evolution only went as wild as it did because he evolved in close proximity to Tiffany. Greater spawns have an especially high connection to their Apostle when they evolve, and Nyx mentioned something the MC couldn't detect was present. It's likely that the fight that occurred was less Michael and Tiffany going wild in a fit of primal instinct and more Power and Light commanding them to throw hands with each other for whatever reasons they had. Even then, unlike its twin Authority, the Power actually favours the MC for some reason and wants him to grow alongside Michael. Whether Power has some grudge with anyone associated with Ether or Creation is unknown though.

Not really, it wasn't about him losing control, something that can still happen just like in his 2nd evolution, but rather that he failed the requirements to achieve a permanent trance state

I don't think that's going to be much of a problem. Since I assume Xanthe wasn't referring to Tiffany and Claudia specifically. I thought he was referring to the Apostle shells. It has been a minute since I played so who knows.

But yes, when MC crew returns, I believe everyone else should have made progress with their powers. The world doesn't revolve around MC and shouldn't. There's no reason for everyone to stagnate because they weren't with MC and his friends. Especially when they're facing a monster invasion that's been going on for just as long as the MC been in the monster world.

There's nothing crazy or rushed about Tiffany reaching Level 3 within that time. As well as Claudia reaching Level 2. Or hell, people like Laurie being Level 3 and so on. Nearly 6 months or more passing is a crazy amount of time. In close to 6 months time, MC went from Level 1 to Level 3. So did Met and Nico. Those two in particular didn't have hordes of monsters to fight.

It's hard to say, but I don't think so. The glimpses we get of events in the human world suggest that a decent chunk of time has passed. We can't know for sure until we get back to the human world and get told "it's been X months since we last heard from you" or something like that, but I don't think time moves any differently between the worlds.

No need to speculate anything when it's literally stated in the game. There's no "Michael might evo next update" because he already did.

Also it's not a matter of preference, having Michael coming back down next update like nothing happened is objectively bad writing that will take away all the emotional value that WW tried so hard to build up at the end of this update. Not even One Piece is shameless enough to have fakeout death as cheap as this.
