Yeah as much as I hate the guy, Jake's is pretty good as far as utility go. Imagine the amount of shit you could fix in our reality with that... Especially lately...
Though I'd pick my OC I had made up some times back too but I'll assume that doesn't count.
Jake because that shit was broken even at evo 2, I can only imagine the potential on the later evolutions.
Nico because I love teleportation and I would love to explore the space like her.

Now that I thought better it depends, would I have the powers in our normal world, without monsters and superhumans and stuff? If yes, I keep my choices, if no I'd rather choose powers more suited for combat

A few other characters could of had the label protag like Klaus (imo)
Lowkey wished Jake had more time to shine (if only he wasn't so weak...he could of been OP as hell).

He was OP as hell.
But he was a very poor matchup against the MC and is adaptability capabilities. Repeated use of mindcontrol on him had less and less effect, and he could break out faster and faster. That's what ultimately doomed him.
The only worse option would have been an opponent he couldn't get in mindcontrol range of.

Briar's would be nice to have. Plant manipulation is already a strong power, throw in the healing and it's golden. Healing would be such an awesome power to have, you could do a lot of good (and, from a selfish angle, build a ton of good will and get all the social benefits that come from that). But the classic problem for characters with healing powers is feeling overwhelmed by requests for healing. Briar's ability to set up a "healing garden" lets him heal people en masse, with minimal attention devoted to each person, making healing a much less stressful thing to do. So I get all the benefits and none of the hassle.

Same with the MC of course, I mean I don't see myself fighting anyone in earth, I might as well explore the biology of all living being, try to acquire knowledge of the greatest minds of the world. After reaching the peak of my body and my ever growing wisdom, I will find WW, cause I still see no update.
I am still undecided if the eye has good intentions or not but based on what we have seeing so far i believe the former and i have a theory.
First the eye says that nothing about love is simple for us and that mc needs to be prepared, it thanks the mc for his sacrifice and says that they will ascent together, this two lines of dialogue make me believe that the eye does care about mc but it never mentioned that mc would have to make a sacrifice if he accepted its help so maybe it tricked him.
Then there is the next scene when the mc merges with the voice and states that he now feels complete, this is were the game ends if mc has below 25 corruption, was he merging with the eye and became something greater if he is pure or was the voice what remained of his mother comforting him during his final moments we dont know.
If corruption is over 25 we have dead end 37, why mc became like this with if he is corrupt again we don't know, but i don't believe that this is what the eye wanted, whatever mc has become is confused, doesn't know who or what it is but its sure that it is wrong and imperfect, Alexis Ela and his name are familiar to him but he doesn't recognize any of them, all this makes me believe that during dead end 37 the eye didn't take over but rather mc and the eye merged, for whatever reason the fusion was a failure and whatever they turned into monsterfied lost most of their memories but kept their basic instincts.
Based on all that my theory is that for the eye to be properly born it needs to merge with the mc and the two of them become something/one new if its done correctly both of them will exist at the same time, this tracks with deadend37 and mc having to make a sacrifice while still ascending, he will give up part of his individuality and love will surely become a lot more complicated if Alice has to deal with the eye deciding that its not in the mood during sex.
This took my a while to write and i would like to hear everyone opinion.

My running guess is that the Eye makes it very clear that the MC needs to go after certain folks (Jake, Danica) and consume them.
All in preparation to bring the eye back to its full power.
Now imagine if the MC was a level 5 when the eye took control, presumably it'd be far stronger since it has more to work with but it got MC at level 3 but was still pretty strong. But even being level 5 isn't enough...MC needs to consume more of the peoples.
Normally I'm all about letting WW cook but damn I have a mighty need for this next release. Cole needs a good ass kicking

Nico and Devana easily, the combo of this two is just too good not to pick it. Not only can you teleport, but you can create anything you need out of nowhere.
And not just for conveniences of life, but even in combat you can pull the absolute insanity you want out of thin air and teleport it to the enemy. Tactical Nuking has never been easier.

Well, since I can choose two. I'll go with Nico or Hex first. From what we can tell in game, Space based powers generate the most power the fastest alongside Time and Creation users. Plus, teleportation and being able to survive in space mean I wouldn't die if something happened to our earth. Since we're not on Superhuman earth, but our earth.
My other choice would be my OC Rom because she is busted as hell. Her usage of the Memory Trait is godlike and since I designed how it'll function myself, it'll be the easiest for me to use. She's also pretty much an quasi-Apostle.
If I can have two powers at the same time. It'll probably be those same two. Might switch Nico with Deus though. Since teleportation is not really needed with Rom powers.
