Wow, what an update. Biggest takeaways for me are Danu and Aos' story of their home-world/marriage/children. I understand that Danu since birth was raised to be fanatical about her faith, but I just couldn't let Alice kill her. Not only would Danu be useful to our cause, but I honestly believe Danu could learn to see Alice as a child/successor to her and Aos. Why only have Aos as a mentor, when she could have two that Alice can learn from?
Another takeaway is simply seeing the genuine co-existence between humans and the monsters within Aos' city. If the one memory from the changing heart my MC consumed (from the Shopkeep) speaks true, then the apostles only see humans/monsters as their playthings with no regard to their children's well-being. Honestly, if there's a third option to rebel against the Apostles with the monsters, I will take that 8/10 times.
I'm both proud of Alice becoming stronger and more in tune with her abilities, even with her monster-ification, but to be separated from my favorite LI for god knows how long is going to be painful. I won't lie and say I wasn't getting tired of being stuck in the monster world, but if I could stay a little longer to retrieve Michael alongside Alice, I would've went for that goal.
However, I do miss seeing Emily, who has taken a backseat for quite a long time. If it wasn't for the twin arc, I would've predicted Emily being the next LI to be chosen to gain powers from the apostles/other sources. I will still keep that theory in my back pocket.
