I really don't think it's all that deep personally, but it's a nice outlook on the situation with the whole PTSD thing, never even considered that myself. Though my take away from the Laurie Jared situation was that Jared just SAID he missed for the sake of playing an "oopsie I killed your friend instead" card. I'd wager he DID have PTSD only BEFORE he got powers due to the Jake abuse and our own. But now that he DOES have powers I think he felt overly confident trying to taunt us cause he knew Charlie and Cole were backing him. Laurie dies, cool; no reason for him to push getting further under your skin (i.e doesn't attack), but if Laurie lives suddenly things aren't going his way anymore so he wants to still piss you off SOMEhow (i.e attacks you, lash out history).
As much as I hate to say it Jared is actually "kind of" smart, he just cares very little about effort or interest enough for him to actually use his knowledge. If he wanted to hit us, he would've, but he wanted to get under our skin instead, which I also have to admit worked more so than anyone else in this game so far.

I'm certain that Jared missed.
This is my read of the scene:
1) The attack comes from the right. This was a difficult shot. Laurie's neck is at the height of MC's chest, the same height he managed to hit him the second time, so it makes sense that this is what he aimed for.
2) From that angle, the only two possibilities are that either Deryl or Laurie were inbetween Jared and MC. Deryl at that point in time is still thought of as an ally, or at least important to Ella, so it's very unlikely that Cole would knowingly risk Deryl.
3) Jared is surprised that his attack did nothing. Additionally the fact that he doesn't try to save face when Cole taunts him shows that he owned his mistake. Whatever he says to MC and Alice doesn't really matter.
Basically, Cole and Charlie went there to grab Deryl. Jared being the idiot he is, thought they were going to engage. He probably told Cole that he is going to attack MC. Cole doesn't hold MC in any esteem, so he let's it happen.
The problem is that Deryl has a change of heart. Cole can't attack Deryl because Charlie has used her power. Also Charlie is friendly with Deryl, so Cole's only option is to threaten MC but he still hasn't noticed that MC has evolved. Hmmm well this one around wasn't bad at all. Based ON THE AI, I'd rank them this way:
1. Liz
-Hands down the best looking one here from every aspect. You added the the strip of hair with a glow that was nice, along with the green pants twist and her signature white top.
2. Emily
-Controversial I know but suck my cock and balls about it. Strong mommy Raven vibes obviously, but the guitar and laid back goth hoodie design are a perfect combo. The tats are a welcomed addition to this version as well.
3. Christine
-Another probably controversial take but alas, suck on them. Her design is simple, yet fine tuned at in her head features. The freckles are stellar, the little red hair tips, the choker, and those crazy eyes are ALL the things I love about Christine and more. I may be biased, she's up there in general for my favorite waifus.
4. Amber
-So her design actually reminds me of someone who would be a main character in a show like Arcane. But while I do love all of the little details from her hair put up and blue sectioned, or the underwear riding on her fantastic figure; it just doesn't give me strong "Amber" vibes, but more so a complex new character.
5. Brianna
-Calm your fucking tits people I swear to god. I think for me this one almost has too MUCH purple.The outfit, the hair, the earrings, the neon sign in the background, I dunno. Don't get me wrong, purple is my 2nd favorite color, but the over saturation in this one kills it for ME. Another thing is her facial structure has her cheeks hollowed in which almost makes her look older, doesn't rub me the right way. All of it still LOOKS good don't get me wrong, just doesn't click with me PERSONALLY.
Not bad sport, I dig all the effort put into the finer details. I look forward to seeing more either waifus or characters in general. Primarily Demi, Zach, Bernhardt, and Nyx; but I'll settle with whatever you're passionate doing at the time you corrupt fuck.

Is there any information on Deus's powers yet, other than that it's got to do with percieving the future?
In dead end 37, he seemed really powerful. Based on what little I saw, I think his power could have to do with him percieving the future in a multitude of timelines branching out from the present and being able to pull the events of those timlines into this one. Scary stuff if true.

After I finished the game to it current stop, I can say for certin that it as if Prototype 1 and the Infamous series had a baby, it would look something like this game, of course if the devs weran't limited and could go full adult with their creation.
Of course it mixed with some anime such as gantz (In artistic style, and in themes)
, berserk, tokyo ghoul, Freezing and other Lim del young works.
I maybe missed but does the trasnformation of our MC change based on the games karma system, if I play A Evil mc would I get a more sinister transformation. It would be awsome if evil MC looked diffrent then good MC(More scars, tatoos, aura etccc..)
Also had to call his hero name GUTS, though the story is less darker then I expected(Yet), not meaning its not good, its amazing as it is, complex story just as I like it.
