WW might just want to take a bit of a break from SH or working on games, and later maybe explore other themes and try to make different stories in different worlds. Something to considered.

Honestly, this is kinda disheartening. A single, small-time developer pausing mid-way through a project may not go well. The game's popularity has traction and momentum that may slow down during the transition to a new game and be lost altogether depending on how well the new game does and how quickly it catches on. Those who support devs for certain
content may not stick around if they don't like the new game or very specifically are only supporting the previous game. Not to mention the possibility of the game developer never coming back to complete it is a real one due to a multitude of reasons. It's not unheard of for people in this field to just drop their careers one day and move on.

Hopefully, I'm just being a Debbie downer and these doubts will be unfounded. WW has a great deal of talent for art and storytelling, and from what I understand has been planning these other game ideas for some time. It would just be a shame to never see the completion of this epic story.

Don't forget that Nico knows she's weak against Dark powers due to them surpressing her rings and having their own means of teleportation. Sure, she doesn't have the context to know that the monster that hospitalized Zack was the Lord of Dark. But she should know from the after-action report that it had similar powers to Valravn. So it's definitely arrogant for her to think that she could have done better than Zack would have. It's like Superman judging someone for getting clubbed in the head with a chunk of kryptonite.

My favorite thing about the power of dark is simply "NO". Try to shapeshift? Level 5 dark power says "NO". Try to teleport away? "NO"! Try to use 1st authority on someone in your vicinity? "NO".

I'm personally very curious about that vn of Vampires WW mentioned wanted to make, not so much about the necromancer one, in fact pretty much anything he make may be able to fit in some sort of 'Shared Cosmology' or something like that, as long is about supernatural stuff, it has been already mentioned after all, that other universes completely separated from the SH one and the Apostles influence exist, with their own Super Powerful Deities

It would be a dream come true if WW made a Vampire the Masquerade VN. The lore from the World of Darkness is gigantic, in fact most things in it fit perfectly with his style. The edgy ammbience, the superpowers, the ancient lore and powerfull beings hidden out there. If Superhuman had followed a more "secret wars" path, without superhumans being revealed to the public, it would be really close to the feeling of a Vampire the Masquerade campaign.

I mean, there are a ton of settings with Vampires as it's main focus, that WoD already exist and is arguably one of the best at lore level don't change that, still, like someone just said it might even be a VN that take place on said setting, but that would actually limit some aspects and I don't know if WW would actually be able to monetize it without a potential trouble, a nonexistent problem with an original setting

Isn't this because there's going to be Superhuman 2? So, it makes sense.

We're probably 2 to 3 updates away from the ending. It would be most idiotic of him to cram levels 4 and 5 into just those 2 or 3 updates.

So, it makes logical sense for the ending to happen when the MC has just leveled up to 4 or maxed out at level 3.

Regardless of which one it is, SH2 is going to focus on the MC at levels 4 to 5. Heck, depending on how the WW wants to set up SH2, we might even get SH3 with the MC being post-level 5.

People think of progression in terms of the MC's levels but that is just one factor of the story, there are so many loose plot threads of varying importance. The MC being level 5 is only important because it ties so heavily to Ella's and her expectations for him, for whatever reason, she's needs the MC to become as strong as he can.

But there are so many more, here is a few off the top of my head

• What's Ella's plan actually is*
• Ella recovering
• Deus's plan for the MC and Ella
• What's up with the eye
• Amber and Liz's predicament*
• Charlie's brother
• What's up with the Shopkeep?
• The moon
• Indra*
• What's being done with Cole
• Valravn's rematch which will likely be a level 5 test
• All the various romance subplots, some being more significant than others. *
• What's going to happen with Deryl and Michael

There are probably so many more others can point out, just too much going on.

About Michael, I'm actually convinced our beloved battle nutjob is only gonna return in the hypothetical Superhuman 2, honest, I don't think we are gonna see him during the climax of the Dark Moon or anything, I mean, he is probably be trapped on Monster Realm for a whole lot of time, since he alone wouldn't have the hint of Ella and Deryl tracking down a Hex

Just think about it, two of the Big 3 of HERO had already have a Dead End involving them and the Eye, first during the battle of diamonds, while Deus is the one that cut short the Eye there, the latter falled into desperation to become whole or 'obtain at least one' thanks to seeing Malik, second during Cole's fight, not much to say there, Bernhardt outright erased the eye, that leave us with only Henri left to have his own ending with him either making the Eye feel distress or killing it, either way I want to see that Clown finally fight, and I hope W.W get creative with it and perhaps another hint about Henri being indeed an Arbiter (Paradox) Host himself

And it's hard to imagine a long fight against Henri since his powers are so enigmatic.......soooo if it's another dead end where the Eye gets stomped, then I pass, and hope we get something else.

Now that you put it that way, the Eye certainly hasn'tshow anything crazy, sure he has a body "beyond its fifth" and more raw power than 90% of the cast, but variety-wise is lame as fuck

That's my hope: That if the Eye appears again, it does something cool and out there with its powers, something that's completely new and not just scaling up the MC's powers. Even if it loses, I want to see it do something that will hype the audience up for the full potential of Evolution. Both to breed anticipation for when the MC gets to play with those toys, and dread for what a fully-incarnated and complete Eye could do.

You know, I actually do agree with you there after thinking about it a bit more, I guess me wanting to see more of Henri and some sort of 'uniformity' among the top 3 of HERO make me overlook the fact that the Eye being stomped yet again would be more lame rather than hype to see, besides, the whole of them, Malik, Bernhardt and Henri have been already recognized by the Eye during the Dead End in which he eat Hex's Dimension, so there is that, one specifically for Henri would be a bit redundant, at the cost of leave the Potential Arbiter of Evolution like an absolute jobber, like even if Henri is indeed Paradox, the Eye would be losing against other Arbiter that is not even conscious within it's vessel, that would be sorry asf(if we go with that theory being actually correct)

Still, I want to see Henri doing some crazy stuff, pronto, his powers are probably very entertaining to see, even more if he use them in a way that reflect his design, Depressed Clown, give me a Reality Marble that is a damn circus
