Stars are mostly made of hydrogen, which, after nuclear fusion, is turned into helium, which will eventually turn into some other stuff. They also tend to have some other stuff, but they don't strictly require anything other than that. Hydrogen is specifically the best-known material for a star, because it has super low mass and a high energy output. If we substitute that with Malik's monster power, there really shouldn't be anything missing... except for proper hydrogen, but that doesn't really matter.I don't think starting the fusion reaction is enough to create a star. You need enough mass for it to self-sustain. Either way, I'm not too bothered given that stuff like Bernhard's Planck pressure exists like you mentioned.
Re: mass number on big monster cards. I don't have them on hand but examples like Deryl's monster form being ~40 meters tall but only weighing ~5 tons. That's a ridiculously low number, off by several orders of magnitude. If we suppose he is the density of a human (~water) and shaped like cylinder 40 meters tall with a radius of 5m, then we'd expect him to weigh about 3000 tons.
As for the Deryl thing, I rechecked and yeah this is a horrible ratio lol. He's 4245 cm tall, so 42 meters, and weighs 5009 kg, so 5 tons... if we calculate it like you did, with a radius of 5 meters, his density is slightly higher than that of literally air lmao. Air being 1.225 kg/m³ and Deryl Rebis form being 1.52 kg/m³. Bro is a thousand times less dense than a normal human, let alone a superhuman.
