There are no saves. The game only uses the persistent file that Ren'py generates. If this file isn't being made for you, that means there's something wrong with your user folders somehow. Perhaps you don't have write access to your own user folder or there is already a Supermodel-folder in there that was created by another user (before a reinstall of Windows, for example).

There's not much I can do to help you with that since it's a Ren'py problem. You would have been unlikely to get saves working either. Just make sure that you know what to expect here. Supermodel saves automatically between chapters and matches. If you finish a chapter/match and exit the game, whatever you unlocked will still be unlocked. If this is not the case, you need to do some web searching for issues related to Ren'py and save folders.

I deleted the "save" folder and started the game again, still no progress was maintained.
I only see a "start" button on the main page and that starts the game fresh every time.
I deleted all related folders, redownloaded the game, tried running it as myself and administrator, all the folder were recreated in a similar format and the game progress was lost everytime I closed the game.

I'm not sure what to say. Something is wrong on your end and I have no idea what. Perhaps check if the game saves locally in the install folder (it usually keeps backups there) and is somehow overriding things with that one. Apart from that, the same advice stands: check online for general Ren'py issues related to saving. This is not a Supermodel-specific bug and it's not something I can "fix".

Yes. Clicking Start brings you to the game menu with the various character portraits. Click one of the portraits (not all are available early on) to expand their list of chapters to play, then choose a chapter. Finish that chapter and you will be told what has been unlocked. This should now be permanently unlocked.

Again, any issues with how the saving interacts with your file system is entirely out of my hands and caused by Ren'py and/or your system. Just make sure that you understand how saving is supposed to work in Supermodel so that you don't go around thinking that it's not working when it is.

maybe your game runs virtually aka in sandbox.

OK got it finally. Thanks for the clarifications but as it turns out it was a renpy issue.

To in the hopes of helping anyone else who this issue here was my issue and solution.
My /users/username/appdata/roaming/renpy/tokens/security_keys.txt file was corrupt.


to recreate it I just renamed the directory

/users/username/appdata/roaming/renpy_old/

And started up a renpy game.

The folder and security_keys.txt were recreated.
and I then moved all the data from renpy_old to renpy... excepting the token directory.

This is an interesting yet short game. I have enjoyed the story so far and the card game is pretty fun once you figure it out. The whole thing gives me vibes kinda like Love of Magic, and that ended up being a great game when all was said and done. I look forward to the next update.

I love card games, and Long Live the Princess is still one of my favourites, so this is intriguing !
Will there be any sleep sex and mind control content in this one ? This type of content in Long Live the Princess was AMAZING.
Some of the best I've seen in a an adult game.

No, I have no plans for any of that. The closest you'll get is probably a sex scene coming in the next update (Update 6) that involves mind invasion to a certain degree, but not in a rapy way. This isn't that kind of story.

Okay, I would rate this as one of the best games I've ever played. I didn't expect the card game aspect to draw me in as much as it has! Story development on the same tier as Eternum, and I really like the plot points of the required secondary superpowers.

I like the farming mechanic, which can make things quite grindy.

Since each of the heroines have their own special quirks (which I very much appreciate) and need their own deck for optimization, maybe include a way of filtering cards by the type of damage they deal?

I too am sad to hear that. The high quality of production, basic plot set up and what story development I've seen plus your usual superior coding skills certainly deserve high praise. The only possible negative I can see is that there may be others like myself who are put off by the card game feature as disrupting our immersion into the story and involvement with the characters, thus less enthusiastic of it. That aside, you are IMHO, the best Dev on this miserable pirate site and should get highest marks & rewards for your work.

I think possibly one factor I've observed is a deterioration of story/game quality of new 'releases' on F95. They seem to be degenerating into poorly done, formula plots for various fetish satisfactions and 'quick faps'...and lots of them. IE: the audience has changed and 'degenerated' in recent months/year. I've worked with another good Dev who's excellent work has also not gathered the interest it should which is more evidence that it's not you, it's the market.

I'm sad because F95 used to have much high quality work...you and others like yours. I fear this is changing for the worse as high quality Devs get depressed and either quit or leave. I wish I could motivate you more as I respect and admire your work. Thank you for what you've done and please 'carry on regardless.'

I enjoyed the card battling aspect so much that I ground out all the cards almost by accident with only 2 decks. One for Vanguard and one for Seraphim

When building a deck it would be nice to separate out cards by type (Engine, Instant, Attack) and by stat (Confidence, Skill, Trust) so that it's easier to focus deck building without memorizing the name of the cards.

I really want to be able to compare Skill Engines, for example, or see all the damages available to me when attacking Trust, or sort by Heat cost, or filter by rarity. Really anything to make it easier to deck build without having to scroll through a list and reread every card in the hopes I'm not forgetting anything.

I really enjoyed the challenge of the card game, and the ability to scale challenge and reward together. I just found it difficult to deck build with so few filter features.

I am eagerly awaiting the next release! I've enjoyed what exists right now and I'm excited to see where this goes.

*edit* And now I boot up the game and open the deckbuilder and notice the little button in the lower right that has all the functionality I was asking for. So I guess I'm just asking for the filtering to be more prominent or a 2nd button that says "Filter" or some other cure for my own oversight. */edit*
