Ren'Py - Completed - SuperPowered [v0.45.02] [Night City Productions]

The general concept is interesting (way more interesting than the execution eventually is), the main character is butt ugly, the gameplay loop is incredibly grindy with minimal feedback initially. The interface is ugly, but actually functional. Basically, it has potential but will not ever realize them as the core gameplay is unlikely to change. I would definitely steer clear of this until it's actually fully done, then take a look if they fixed the issues.

Great depth, concept and gameplay. Updates are pretty regular and the renders are good. Some are a bit dated but being replaced and new content abound. Ambitious but developer keeps hitting marks. Worth your time.

This is probably the worst game I've played on F95Zone. The game is too complicated. The tutorial is very complicated. The game gives you two objectives in the start, but doesn't tell you how to accomplish them. After five in game days, nothing happens. You watch TV, take a shower, study, go to school, then ... nothing?

When you talk to NPCs there's no actual discussion. You have like a million buttons that don't make any sense.

Out of the one hour I spent trying to figure the game out, there was only one sex scene in the tutorial.

The game doesn't seem to have any sexual content outside the tutorial. I could not figure out how to unlock any sex scenes.

You cannot have sex with the mom or sister, all the options are greyed out.

I'm not sure why people are supporting this game on Patreon. The game play, interface, tutorial & quest log need a major overhaul.

The game needs an extremely detailed walk through that tells you exactly what to click in what order, until you figure out how to actually play the game.

The game is too grind heavy to the point it's just not worth playing.

Their is a ton of fun content when it comes to Superpowered. At first it is a little confusing, figuring out what powers unlock what conditions for girls, etc. Their is also a huge grind to work up to all that. But, with the cheats enabled it makes it much quicker. Once you get all of that out of the way, the real fun begins.

Good amount of content, with more every month on a solid schedule that the developer has kept for a very long time. Developer cares about his story, and his art, and it shows. Game is structured so that you can be selective with your fetishes. There aren't many fetishes so far, but the framework is there, and the intent to be inclusive while allowing the player to pick and choose is obvious.

Too much grinding girls, influence, experience. Fighting takes forever when enemy heals faster than you can deal damage. Lack of superpowers early on.

Suggestions
Allow at least one basic superpower to be picked at start, that can be nurtured/trained to be better.
Don't allow enemies to heal themselves till later.

Love this game. It introduced me to adult gaming in general.
Love sand box games just like this. Only thing i really don't like is a lack of hints on scenes I haven't seen. That being said it takes quite a bit of time to find everything in the game and some people may find it a bit grindy. I like to roleplay it in my head though.

The game attempts to be immersive, giving you this story about how super-powers can be given from a syringe, and it goes into the details of the society and how it is effected by this development, but it falls a bit short, mostly due to some translation errors and some relatively average dialog.

The art is kind of good, but most of the sexy scenes are done at weird angles that don't show off as much of the action as you probably want to see. The stories and plot themselves can be kind of interesting and sexy, though.

Unfortunately, the game is riddled with events that purely random chance, no matter how good your Attributes are, Attributes that you must raise through painstaking tedious ways. Money is especially difficult to earn, as you can't even get a job, until you've spent literal hours just grinding Attributes to unlock that part of the story, and even then, on a Janitor's salary you cannot afford new Powers, without spending more hours.

And earning a new Power is hard locked by Reputation, which you must also grind, except that its given out in even smaller amounts than your cash, and often through seemingly random events, which once again you can fail, and when you do fail, you actually LOSE reputation, instead of gaining it, so expect to save often.

Of coarse, when you DO get a new power, it is accomplished by a Character Flaw, usually related to one of the Seven Deadly Sins: a really interesting concept, but this makes the game noticeably harder, as its more things for you to micromanage. Even if you look past this, a Level 1 Power is essentially worthless (Mind Controlling Lv1 really accomplishes nothing you want it to, for example), so your back to the money grind, to get more shots.

Added even further on top of this, is the fact that you have to control your Lust Flaw and maintain your Grade Average at school. Despite everything I've complained about, keeping up your Grades is the WORST. This is due to the fact that you cannot actually see how your doing, your only told how you did once a week, on Fridays, I believe.

So, you basically have no idea if you Studied enough or not, although if you get it up high enough, you can ignore it for a few weeks, but eventually it will drop, unless you can somehow guesstimate the appropriate amount of Study Sessions needed to keep it up... which eats into the endless grind your already doing for Money and Reputation. This wouldn't be such a big deal, except that there's a ticking timer placed on this: if your grades drop too low, the Superhero association takes notice and comes down on you hard like your a criminal, presumably ending the game?

That aside, even if you complete all this junk, romancing the ladies is no better. You basically some simple conversations with them, out of a selection of nine topics, with each girl having a preference to certain topics, which is kind of neat. You have a limited number of Social Actions each day, which can be raised, and successfully talking with a girl earns you Favor, which is essentially a percentage. You can expend Favor for various Interactions and actual Favors, which eventually raises their Lust, and lets you do sexual things with them.

However, while Favor is easy enough to earn, Lust raises at a snails pace, and there's a substat called Corruption, which basically determines how kinky that Character will be. Unfortunately, you can only raise Corruption like one point at a time, and it's even RARER than Reputation, but you also need like 30+ to earn any scene.

The game also has a combat system, but no matter how strong you are, unless your maxed in Strength and the appropriate Power, your garbage at it, and even when you start to deal decent damage, your enemies can actually heal faster than you hurt them, leading to PAINFULLY long combat sessions, that sometimes take 10+ minutes, just to knock out a common thug, because your waiting for ALL your attacks to land perfectly every single time, otherwise they rest and reset everything. If you've played Pokemon, I'll put it like this: It's like trying to kill Snorlax, but all you have is a Pidgey, but both of you know Rest and have infinite Moves. It's so stupid, I cannot begin to state how dumb it is that your a "Superhero" with enhanced senses and abilities who cannot easy dispatch of a cat burglar in Hand-to-Hand combat.

This review has already gone on long enough, but I think you get the point: this game is a grind, and this is from someone who frequently plays MMORPG's. The game isn't as bad as I made it sound, there's plenty of content to see, but you will have to spend at least 5+ hours of your time MINIMUM to see anything interesting, maybe closer to 8+ hours if you want to see what the Powers bring to the game.

And, if you had any interest in the Mother or the Sister, be prepared to spend days of your time, as you need a separate Power for each relative, just to BEGIN the ordeal to unlock their interest in you.

However, if you decide to play: CHEAT. Cheat your ass off. Not just to loosen the Money and Reputation grind, change the girls stats. Set their Corruption and Lust wherever you want, because in the dozens of hours I spent trying to "legitimately" play this game, I barely got most of the Powers and Corruption to 10 (which doesn't accomplish much, except their comfortable going around topless or something).

This is not one of those games you want to pride yourself on beating, just cheat your stats and powers, and the game actually becomes enjoyable, hence the Three Stars. The game has a ton of potential, but damn is it hidden behind some massive hurdles, so just ignore them and try to enjoy the game, as I imagine the developer must want us to get some fun out of it somehow.

Game has way to much grinding and the interface is way to complicated even using cheats you still can't have sex with your mom an sister and says she is to young and the mom gets angry and it has way to much going on to understand anything.

The game offers a nice unusual concept.
The artwork is fine. Especially the unusual sex positions are worth to be mentionend.
And its main feature offers the most fun: decide to be a good or an evil guy with real consequences to gameplay.

But there's a major flaw: the grinding is far to slow paced.
And I wish there were a walkthrough, that would save tons of hours of useless grinding and doing the wrong things.
That ruins the gameplay for me.

Storyline - 4/10 Excellent idea, executed terribly. The premise was really good but the game is so far from being complete that it is impossible to say whether or not the devs will deliver or not.

Pacing - 3 / 10 - Basically you can fuck anyone in this game within a few days of grinding, with the exception of mother, headmistress and a few "not implemented yet"

Renders - 8 / 10 - Renders are clean and noise free, most images are just characters superimposed on a static background so very little to say on composition.

Character design - 1/ 10 - Didn't even twitch when i saw the sex scenes. The MC is so ugly and his cock so absurd that it is too unbelievable to be vaguely sexy

Overall - This game has HUGE potential of being really fun to play, but in its current state it is all just promises which may never be delivered upon. IF the superhero element is developed properly and IF the exposition is better and IF the renders are improved this will be a good game but for now its entirely forgettable.

I really loved the concept behind this game and the UI is pretty good as well... The story is good, and the visuals are good, but the grind is intense...

You first have to figure out what works and what doesn't work when interacting with each NPC, and there are a lot of NPCS... Then it's the very-slow grind of getting your skills and social attributes with each NPC to where you can actually do anything meaningful with them... Which takes a very long time of repeating the same choices over and over again...

The combat in the beginning is terrible, takes so much real time to go through a combat sequence when you have few abilities... I just ended up spamming the attack key for around 5 minutes just disregarding any other choices in order to get it over with... Imagine if I had made further choices, the battle woulda lasted a LOT longer...

If it were not for the intense grind for so much of this game, I would applaud the authors, but it is such a bad grind that I feel it is a complete waste of real time to get anywhere with anything... Perhaps if there had been random events, or more story to interact with while grinding, perhaps I would not of been bothered by it so much...

I think this game/vn has promise, but the whole grind mess needs a revisit... I spent hours feeling like I was getting nowhere to be able to do one interaction that put me behind again with NPC's... I basically had to micro-manage the NPC's stats over and over again...

Best of luck to the authors on this project, I have hopes for this one, but it needs a lot of work to really shine... Working for a reward is one thing, but the grind is way too intense in this one right now...

Refreshed thought about supernatural powers in ero themed game. There is mass of things implemented into the game but many of those things are crudely made and make interface too packed. If a player could access interface via mobile phone or other similar thing like pip-boy in fallaout series or through a interactive watch. It could even show hologram or access our glasses and via them show our options. Etc. Then there should be something like notes book in which we add things like which topics of conversations people like more or less or even dislike.

I mean to tell that our dev gave himself huge goal and a game too big for new developer without big team to make this game great as it should be. It has huge potential for future development. There should be minigames in which we as a player use our powers in interesting ways. There is soooo many options to choose from that at the start I don't know what I should as a player do. I mean, first thing to do is rise our grades at shool.. and what can I do with it? How can I do it? I study? Go to shool and go to classes? I do it, and don't see my goal in sight yet. My days are taling with mom, rise her favour and use it in stupid things like jogging. This shitty stat like charm is damn useless. Couse it should be used ony when our partner of conversation is not likely to enjoy subjec we used to talk with them. Do I normally use charm when I talk with mom? Sister? Friend? Nope! Charm should be used up only when we are trying to charm someone. Ask for favour or something they don't like to do otherwise etc.

Most stars are added for how big the game actually is going to be if dev ends up doing it to the end.

Is it good game so far? Its interesting possition but not good. Is it going to be nice game to play? DAMN YES!! if only dev recreate some aspects of existing game now than do it in far future when adding and changing the game from ground up will be damn hard to accomplish.

The full games of combination possible. The game is pretty well drawn. However there are plenty of unfinished parts. He is hopeful but misses afterwards. I like incest, super power, Mind control, but I am dissatisfied with the incest, underdeveloped and potentially.

There is so much possibility in this game. The foundation is there. The powers, world building, lore, characters, even progression. It has the framework to be a one of the kind stand out among porn games. I'm just waiting for it to get there. I love the premise of everything this game promises to be. On patreon and discord the dev and his team regularly interacts with patrons and people interested in the development. But my biggest criticism is the lack of focused content. Most every update is a new girl to corrupt. YAY! And to his credit there are a plethora of women to seduce and on the surface they are all unique. I am amazed at how different each girl is even on a glance they are all separate characters with no two looking or acting alike. At least on the surface. As with most corruption games once you 'break' the girl they become mindless cum dumpsters. They all become the same slut and that gets boring very very fast. Where I think he needs to focus his content is the story. He hints at a whole world of super powered people, heroes and villains, government oversight, and Marvel/DC universe of dramatic battles. It's well pass time to start showing that world. And yes I know this game is a rebuild of an older game but that does not make this game any better (or worse) you can't judge a game by another game or by content that explains the game that isn't in the actual game. This game desperately needs to grow in narrative in order to make the content that is already in it worthwhile. If done correctly I think SuperPowered would easily become a 5 star game.

Love the premise and expect this to continue to build over the next 12-18 months. The buildout has been slow and steady, so there are like 7-8 NPCs that you can have multiple sex scenes with varying on their manipulated mental state as well as the sex act itself. There are something like 15 or so combinations per NPC and that doesn't include the clothing changes.

Pros: Great quality, great depth, great diversity. The models used are really different from the others and you'll find girls to corrupt that will fit your taste. There's around 10 hours of gameplay with cheats on, which is an amazing amount of content for an adult game and the game is genre-defining in many ways.

Cons: The maker is about to begin the real story part, so for now, it is more like a date sim with mind control than anything else. I don't really mind, but after playing +- 10 hours, you'll probably want to wait for a few months at a time to replay it. Moreover, the game pace can be slowed to a crawl when it comes to progress with your powers and with the overall corruption of all the characters.

Overall, great date sim that has the potential to become the best adult game of this genre. Development is steady, if slow for the taste of some, and the author is trusted to keep working on this project for a long time. With a few cheats to give you an edge and reduce early grinding, you'll have a lot of fun with this one.

A lacklusterstory, painful amounts of grinding, a total lack of direction, an over use of generic character ___ to expand a harem that does not need expanding considering the base characters have not been flushed out.... This is the feelings I associate with Superpowered.
I am going to be honest, I have had the game on a backlog for some time, and decided to finally give it a shot considering it's popularity. I have not found a redeeming quality to this game, it's highest praise is mediocre, and the rest just dips below it. The main character is creepy looking, with no real backstory; he want's superpowers so he gets them, and those superpowers have a side effect to make him horny. BTW MC HAS BEST SUPERCOCK EVA MGAWD!!! From there, the game becomes a blind grindfest full of an array of characters that have in no way been flushed out. The lack of interaction, the extremely shallow sex scenes, the fact that having superpowers is a Mguffin that never is used for something cool... LIKE HAVING SEX THAT ONLY A SUPERHERO COULD PULL OFF... Yeah, maybe the game gets better someday. I put two hours into it, and I know how many fanboys are going to shit on me for doing this review, but the game is garbage for what it is. It's generic porn game #93, that demands you use a wiki to play it with (because that's the sign of a good game) or else you will just blindly and aimlessly never leave the ditch of boring, to stand in the land of ho-hum. Will check again next year when they are 65% done with the game, cause so long as they are pulling in the patreon numbers, people will keep paying for, and flooding the market with this sort of game.

I honestly feel this game is the best game here. It is quite grindy so patients or cheating is required. Billy is a Geek but that makes it more fun, since he is not a buff macho guy like most MC. The women models are pretty and most of them will put out even Mom.
