Hey, RazzyBerry, I have a thought for you. While I think it makes sense to click the gates to leave the base to begin some quests (like getting supplies from the vehicle or getting samples from the dead), I would recommend also making the "Quests" option for a character allow players to proceed forward. For instance, with Eva, I would think you could choose "Quests" and then see the "Get a Sample" quest listed; and then clicking on that listing would start the quest.
From a player perspective, at first it's less obvious that you need to click the front gate. In most of gaming history, if you want to begin a quest that a specific character has given, you would click on the character to start it. To avoid confusing or frustrating anyone, I think allowing both options (clicking the character and clicking the gate) makes sense. Just a suggestion.
