There are 2 routes
MC - when you bring water and food every day, have fun with your girlfriend and eventually get rescued
Rival - when you bum around the campfire and your friend bangs your girlfriend

Make sure you've installed VX RTP, not VX Ace RTP, never had any problem running it on W10 without japanese locale. You can also check if it was extracted with correct names - go to Graphics>Pictures and check if files have japanese signs or some garbage

As for the trojan - there shouldn't be anything - I didn'g get any alerts with Windows Defender and it can get pretty twitchy.

No pictures folder, downloaded it from the same link under the Install spoiler tag
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Enterbrain\RGSS2\RPGVX\Graphics

Thanks for trying, but I did double and triple check I had the correct file. Same thing. Triple Checked I had the correct one, and downloaded/reinstalled it again.
