Unofficial Translation for SAO Part II

Hello all,

This is later than I wanted to get out the translation for v0.1, but better late than never, I suppose. If you've already played my previous translations, expect more of the same.

Once again, I can't add the phone and text conversations into the game, as they're all images made with Photoshop or a similar program, so I put all the text message exchanges into their own text files in the folder labeled "Phone conversations." I'm still not using MEGA or PixelDrain, though I might move away from GoFile because I don't like how they delete files after 30 days of inactivity.

The files I've uploaded are not the entire game, just the translated files, so remember to extract the original game ZIP with Simplified Chinese encoding, then paste my translations into the www folder.

I'll also reiterate my support for Saikey. Support the translators! And Fujino too if you can.

I appreciate your efforts and selfless dedication to your work. However, personally, I feel that the translation for the second installment is adequate, and it doesn't seem necessary to redo the translation.

I don't know if I'm the only one thinking this way, but I think Fujino is at a stage where maybe he's gotten tired of making +18 games, I can feel that with his own work besides his posts.

I very much doubt that given that he literally changed countries just to keep making them. People forget a few things... He is human like everyone else, moving countries could not have been easy for him, he revealed a few months ago that stuff like this as well as other stuff got him depressed, he just had a relative die as revealed in this post.
Obviously he isn't at the top of his game, but at the end of the day it would have been much easier for him to just stay where he is and stop making games, then to move to a different country. To be quite honest i dont know if i would be willing to do something like that, so the fact that he did, shows a lot more resolve than we are giving him credit for.

Not only does my translation fix the cut off text issue, there's a lot of wrong translation that ChatGPT puts in that you'll never notice.

Honestly if we avoid stuff like Charlie again (who i honestly thought was Klein but wasn't) i am ok, still wish i knew he wasn't Klein xD

I doubt we can name the OCs since there is no copyright issues. If I could I would name them "AsunaBanger", "GoldenBoy", and "KleinModoki".

They already confirmed they made the main characters' names changeable to avoid any possible copywriting issues.

I can only see Saikey use Charlie if whoever did the translation know about the translation here. But I doubt it since if it is a official translation then it should be as directly translated from the original as possible. If I was fan-translating it then I would use Charlie since that is what everyone is used to.

I am pretty sure the village is the same village as the Sakura game. So when the dev goes back to finishing that game, we might see Charlie again.

Here or there, or both works for me, like Fujino could use an update having Kirito trave there, wich allows for stuff to happen to Asuna while he isn't around, or to Lisbeth, etc. Kind of how he introduced Bob in the FGO game with the whole Sono Bisque quest. I had my reservations but that one worked well, and now he has more experience so he can do better.

As for both, having a long quest in SAO involving Charlie and the village doesn't mean we won't see a cameo when he starts on part 3 of the FGO game xD

His name is Toyama, like I translated in my translation. It's also way back on previous pages, from like a month ago.

You're doing a fantastic job with the translation. The previous translation was probably around 75 points, but yours is definitely worth at least 90 points or more. I think you should consider sending the translated file to Fujino.

He changed the menu video every few updates. Unless you mod the game its just set to the last one he used.

I can't find the nose Fujino used, and the head still seems somewhat off.

Seems like many friends are worried about having too many supporting characters, fearing that they might steal the spotlight or lead to a disappointing ending. But I don't think we need to worry. Having more supporting characters actually means we can expect more content, and Asuna won't fall too quickly, avoiding the downfall of the story. (And if you ask me, the models for Shino and Liz are damn hot, I'm really looking forward to their roles.)

Let's not forget that version 0.1 already showcased a plethora of beautifully crafted maps, improved systems, and complex status screens, proving that this work is different from previous smaller-scale projects. Its world is rich and the story has great potential. Based on the current foreshadowing, the main and subplots should intersect. This is the planning of a grand project, and the cast naturally needs to match that. Not only Liz and Shino, but I'm even excited for the future inclusion of characters like Agil, Silica, and Administrator(Quinella).

We should also not overlook the fact that we all know how much effort Fujino has put in to continue updating, even in difficult circumstances, to the point of going to another country. In an environment where many creators struggle with delays, he has managed to provide updates almost every month. This shows his determination to keep moving forward.

I don't believe we need to worry about the risk of a "disappointing ending" or question Fujino's ability to handle the plot. Some forums have seen negative comments from users who may not fully understand the context, and if Fujino were to come across them, it could be discouraging. As fans, we should provide support and encouragement. We can offer our suggestions for the plot and engage in constructive discussions while maintaining a harmonious and friendly environment. By providing inspiration to Fujino and creating a positive atmosphere, we can better stimulate his motivation and positivity to continue updating.

I believe that our patient waiting and tolerant attitude will contribute to the creation of a masterpiece!

As for Fujino moving, he did that because he had the means to, not to continue making porn . I know I sound like a broken record, but his expenses are now in Yen, not Yuan. An artist has to eat. Prior, this game was his main job, is not anymore. Either we get less content per month, or he burns out.
