RPGM is the best.

Renpy/VN makes the player lazy, as they can just skip through all the text just to get to the options/scenes, which robs us of the story/tension, etc. Even when I want to be engaged in the story, reading page after page gets boring, whereas the small events in RPGM where you see the Hearts over a door or a bush, or you can see the small sprites doing something out of view of the player is something that can't be replicated in Renpy. One of the best feelings is going to a new map and seeing your gf/female silhouette already doing the nasty and you being oblivious to it, or the instances where you're looking for her and the NTR guy but they seemingly just miss each other.

Shadows of Desires went RPGM to Renpy and though it's still quality, I definitely skip through everything because now it's so text heavy and the exploration of the game is gone.

I'm surprised by the amount of dislike there is for VN games, especially in a thread for a Fujino game when he is heavily related to the Fate Franchise, although I guess most fans of the series haven't necessarily played the visual novel.

Some of the best games in the genre of NTR are visual novels, with titles like Ochiru Hitozuma https://f95zone.to/threads/2571/, or titles from this developer https://f95zone.to/threads/saving-mrs-hinako-2024-03-11-studio-pork.84959/.

Even beyond regular Japanese VNs, most of the decent or great NTR games from western developers are VNs as well, like Promise Better Left Unkept https://f95zone.to/threads/98719/ or anything that the developer of https://f95zone.to/threads/turning-the-page-v0-28-0-azienda.131246/ makes.

I feel like NTR is a genre that works better in a medium with a lot of text, allowing the creator to deepen the player's empathy and sympathy towards the person getting cucked, to showcase the bond between the couple that will be broken, and to create a sensible Heroine where her falls makes sense from a character perspective.

Of course, Fujino is best suited to continue making games as he has been doing all along, as I have many doubts about his abilities as a writer in a visual novel like game where his skills would be put into much more scrutiny than some random RPG parody, but it's not like Fujino's work is much of a game at the end of the day.

Most of his works are basically a walking simulator with a small, meaningless puzzle thrown in the middle to pad the game time.

SAO as Fujino's current Magnus Opus, has had more gameplay than any of his previous titles but even then it something that the player could accomplish by mindlessly pressing the attack button, the Little Buster Visual Novel with it's unbeatable Baseball minigame was more of a ""real"" game than this has ever been.

And I don’t particularly think that is a bad thing, between having practically no gameplay at all and havign to suffer through an slow and uninteresting gameplay like a lot of NTR rpgs where you need to grind for hours to kills some meaningless mobs, Fujino making a walking simulator with added porn is much more preferable to me.

Perhaps some people don't enjoy VNs, just like some don't like reading books, and that's fine. But I don't think "reading bores me" is much of a valid criticism to the medium.




Tldr: Much like Suguha, VNs are the GOAT.

It is not your pc's fault, the game is not well optimized, that's it. But Fujino (Dev) will make sure at least everything works at full release complete game. For now, prepare bug sprays.

You can do this to turn side dialogue off

In www->js folder
Make a backup of Plugins.js
Open it with a text editor and search for [SoR_GabWindow_Left]

You should get this:

Then the ,"status":true replace [true] with [false]

As a massive VN fan who read the OG FSN VN over watching the shitty DEEN anime back when it was the only adaptation available, I agree! Especially as someone who actually read the SAO Light Novels before there was an anime

Never heard of Quintuplets before but my first impression is a no. Because well *duh* they are quintuplets and therefore not that much diversity in looks. I much prefer having different looking characters, if the story had to be about multiple women being corrupted.

Well in terms of lack of characters variety i completely agreed , based on the Anime/manga the quintuplets girls are identical i.e. (same face, Breast, hip and butt size ) only different in hairstyles
in the Anime/manga all of the girls fall in love with the MC

I dont think its cause people hate vns, I think its more so that a lot of fate fans got into fate through the anime which is the case for me as well even though I read both the vn and watched the anime.
