This is based on canon SAO relationship. Kirito and Asuna have always been the perfect couple. Neither of them was ever interested in anyone else. This is actually one thing I don't like about the series. The author clearly wants the couple to stay together but he keeps adding girls that try to get into Kirito's pants. He never wants to and the girls are just there to give him a "harem" he will never uses. It is like the author is trying to have a harem and one true love romance at the same time which is annoying.
I also think it's unnecessary and superfluous. This is the problem with all harems, everywhere the main character has only one lover, and the rest are just for the harem. The only normal harem in my opinion is dxd

Yeah, and I can understand that, but when the heroes are 16 etc., it looks really weird. And almost all male isekai, romcom and harem MCs basically have the same character. Yeah, honestly, about experience and indecisiveness, that's the age when most people gain that experience. Have you ever seen a gorgeous girl fall in love with an indecisive, powerless virgin? I can admit that it's theoretically possible, but it's never happened everywhere. Also yeah, censorship limits it, on the other hand, a lot of older anime just showed it as something other than hentai, and it was ok. By the way, you mentioned that moment in SAO, was there sex in the manga?
All the stories having the same character is more a problem with fans becoming creators and just wanting to recreate what they like. We can get into the psychology of what girls want but the target audience is young boys so if indecisive powerless virgins is what they think the audience wants to see and it sells then that is all that matters.

That moment is based on the Light novel. So if the manga is based on the LN as well, then they had sex even if it wasn't shown.

I also think it's unnecessary and superfluous. This is the problem with all harems, everywhere the main character has only one lover, and the rest are just for the harem. The only normal harem in my opinion is dxd
There are actual harem shows that gives all the girls a chance even if there is a clear winner. SAO on the other hand the other girls have no chance but still try sometimes to get Kirito even though they must know he won't cheat on Asuna. It is just trying to get the attention of a harem show without it actually being a harem show which is annoying.

If you judge rationally, not everyone likes Asuna, that's why they make a harem where each girl has her own character and appearance, it sells better that way

if someone has never seen SAO and plays this game and then sees SAO, they would say: but wasn't Asuna a whore? why doesn't she fuck?
age rating... and behind the scenes, Kirito is probably fucking her all night long without taking out his penis. Surely there must be a reason why her eyes always light up when she sees her boyfriend?

By the way, I don't understand at all why in anime the main character is made impotent and a virgin. And of course the most beautiful girl will always fall in love with such a guy and they will have the most platonic relationship. Although the heroine will constantly hint at sex. Although I watched SAO a long time ago, I remember the moment in the first season where Asuna thought that Kirito wanted to sleep with her and began to undress, and he behaved like a standard main character. Where did this trend come from? Does anyone like to associate themselves with such a character.
In the anime, it was like that. There, the screenwriter of the anime series decided not to embarrass teenagers who watch the series. But in ranobe, it was quite said that Asuna and Kirito fucked like rabbits when they got married and Heathcliff bought them a house on the 22nd floor. The logic of Kirito and Asuna's actions was clear - they love each other, it's just a game (how familiar ...), it's unknown if they will survive, and most importantly, they are hormonal 16-year-old young people. This is a fairly common practice when they take a ranobe with a mention of sex and shoot PG-13 anime, throwing out all the explicit scenes.

So that's where Asuna got her roots from "just a game". That's what I'm talking about, why there's just no age rating for anime whose plot suggests it. I remember the anime Grancrest Senki, there was a scene of conditionally voluntary sex and it didn't make the anime worse, even though it's average. It's just that sometimes, looking at what's coming out now, it seems like at this rate, in 12 episodes we'll see how the main character first looked at the heroine at the end of episode 12. And the second season will be like trying to do it more often

as far as I remember, there was nothing about sex in ranobe itself, but an additional chapter about that night was released.

Of course there was no description of sex, otherwise it would have turned into 18+ book. But direct hints are enough. Like when they woke up and Asuna stood up, covering her chest with a sheet, she looked back lovingly at Kirito sleeping peacefully. Or after they were walking on the lake near the hut, Kirito kissed Asuna and they fell on the bed together. I think this is quite enough to know exactly what teenagers are doing, from which harmons are pouring directly and they are forced to live every day like the last.

No, there, separately from Tom, Kivahara wrote a chapter on sex. Sort of) Although maybe it was fan fiction?

It depends on the genre of the anime. If the characters are adults then acting like that is just weird. But if the anime character is a teenager then of course the tv censors don't want them to seen having sex. Most teenagers are seen as dumb and indecisive because they are young and inexperienced. That is true in most medium not just anime.

Interesting fact about that SAO moment you mentioned. Asuna and Kirito did have VR sex that time so canon Kirito is not impotent and a virgin even at the beginning of SAO if you count VR sex.

Actually, small correction that I actually mentioned in the past but bears reminding, SAO is NOT like your average 'Harem anime' in that aspect actually. While there is no doubt the author was cruel with the other girls by basically creating them having lost in the novels (As none of them ever existed before Kirito and Asuna had already gotten together), despite what some haters may say or some people trying to take some scenes out of context, the girls never actually DO try to get into Kirito's pants or steal him from Asuna in the slightest, Liz and Sugu's takes on this game may have warped your mind but it's actually a big and clear point in the series that regardless of their own feelings they put them aside and decide to be friends instead as it's the best they can have, even sometimes actively helping out KiriSuna get time together for themselves. The only one 'exception' to this was Alice and that's because of both her extremely unique and fucked-up circumstances and also because the series originally ended with her arc back in the original web novel XP

I barely remember the plot at the start of PART 2, can someone help explain on some points. I don't have time to replay from the start yet.

I remember that Asuna was trying to cut all ties and connections with Inoda (especially in real life) after the storm night (Part 1 ending) but she still got entangled with Inoda somehow along the way.

My questions are about those IRL events between Asuna and Inoda like handjob scene in the gym (Asuna's cheerleader outfit), Asuna visit Inoda apartment and sleep with him on the bed (just lying on bed, if I remember correctly), why did she do that?

The HJ scene in the gym happened because Asuna hurt her feet and Inoda was there to help her. He (with Administrator's help) massaged her feet and told her jokes that made her feel really good. So as thanks she gave him a HJ. This is basically his strategy. Make her see him as a friendly but important part of her life and then extract sexual favors from her so he can make her body can't live without his dick.

I don't know what scene you are talking when they lie on his bed together. Maybe you talking about when Asuna was forgiving him for the Lustful Night and then she flashbacks to that night after she wakes up from all the sex?

I think he's talking about this scene. This is where Inoda showed what a good manipulator he is (now he has apparently lost this skill), wanted to turn himself in to the police, but Asuna stopped him and forgave him. There is a small animation in the form of memories of how they sleep in the morning.

To be honest, it would be interesting to see Asuna's reaction when she woke up, rather than a few days later.

That is what I thought. That scene had a lot of interesting details. Liz gave Inoda a script to follow but he is a idiot and can't remember so he winged it. You find the script outside his apartment earlier. He makes vague comments about ending it. Since they are both SAO survivors she thought he was going to kill himself. He rolled with it and said he will instead turn himself into the police and become a criminal. Asuna not wanting he to ruin his life makes the excuse of not wanting Kirito to find out and forgave him. This really shows how good he is without help and how useless Liz's advice is.

Also we do see Asuna's reaction the morning after. It was regret and disbelief. She probably just left quietly while Inoda was still sleeping.
