fair, but i think most of the hate for kirito or sao in general comes from people just jumping on the bandwagon when a show gets popular. it’s pretty obvious too because you’ll hear people just repeat whatever some youtuber says. then you check what else that person likes, and it’s often shows with the same flaws as sao. it even happens within the sao franchise. like, season 1 of alternative: ggo had a serious drop in writing quality in its last 3 episodes, but people still claim it’s better than the main series. that’s why i’ve just decided to stick to forming my own opinions. i realized how pointless it was when gundam fans told me wing was good and seed was bad, but for me, it was the opposite xD
My dude, while I fully agree with you (And as much as I like AGGO I agree only haters think it's better than the main series), the thread of a SAO NTR game is not the best place to have those arguments, believe me XD

Also, the SAO Gameverse AU is an even better written version of Canon despite embracing most of the tropes they believe (Mistakenly) that Canon SAO has and gives everyone even more screentime and character development, so if anything proves that they're wrong it's that for sure :p

you’re right, this ain’t really the thread for it lol. but i don’t get why some vanilla/harem fans are complaining about this game here. like, it’s an ntr game, what did they expect? and yeah, gameverse is legit underrated. it’s kinda wild how it takes the same tropes people trash on canon for and just makes it work better. more screentime and actual development for everyone def makes a difference. it really does prove most of the hate is just people parroting stuff without actually thinking
As a fan of Kirito and Asuna, I like SAO and I have LN 24 volumes. As for SAO NTR, I like it as a fantasy, because the girls from SAO are sexy. My favorite 4 sexy girls from SAO are: Asuna, Sinon, Leafa (Suguha) and Alice.
Do you read LN? You surely know that the studio always cuts scenes from LN, especially the characters' internal monologues and changes the characters' personality a bit. When I read volume 18, it showed the story of Kirito's childhood when he was in middle school, unfortunately these scenes were not adapted to season 3 arc Alicization part 3. I got angry at the studio that they cut a lot of scenes from volume 15-18.
I once tried to explain to people, I gave evidence, arguments of these haters, and I argued for two and a half hours. Haters didn't want to listen anymore and wrote that these aren't real evidence, despite e.g. spin-offs being written by Reki Kawahara and also shown in the anime. I once recommended people to read the LN, because there is a big difference, they wrote that they wouldn't read the LN crap, because it's the same written stupidity as shown in the anime.

For example, I read a post on the swortartonline reddit page, where the person wrote that in anime/LN there is no drama, i.e. a quarrel between a couple like in the real world. People also hate the couple Kirito and Asuna, and other couples that are idealized

they complain because Fujino has put Kirito as a character who basically can't do anything, if I were me I would put a character that is usually created at the beginning of the game like the one from fatal bullet, because if this game for Kirito means watching but not touching (or better let Inoda do everything and don't interfere) then what's the point of putting Kirito if then everyone goes against him
This is a expendable game, in the sense that if you want content, you have to lose and I hate losing
it's so frustrating to play this way.
Anyway there's no point in criticizing ntr vanilla, because first of all it doesn't prevent ntr complete, you can always avoid vanilla if someone doesn't like it, because I've never heard the question if vanilla is inevitable xD
I like NTR bittersweet, at least this way I can play twice.
My complaint that NTR complete means a mockery as if to say you played until the end and what did you get? aside from the content, but this is the reward only for hardcore NTRisti, but you don't want to give me the satisfaction of beating Inoda, eh?

damn, respect for going through all 24 volumes, that’s some real dedication bro. it’s crazy how much they cut from the lns. like, kirito’s middle school backstory in alicization. why would they leave that out? no wonder ln fans get pissed xD. imho, trying to argue with haters is pointless. they’ve already made up their minds, so even if you showed them reki himself writing it, they’d still be like, 'nah, that’s fake' lmao. these haters thrive on shock value, and i bet most of them are just rage baiting and hating on it because some youtuber or streamer said so
I took a picture of the message conversation screen on the server, but it's in Polish. Because I'm Polish, so you wouldn't understand or you'd have to use a translator. If you want, I can show you a picture of the message conversation on the server about SAO. Do you hate couples, idealized friendships? I like couples, idealized friendships and it doesn't bother me, and secondly, I separate fiction from reality and attach fiction to the real world. Let's write in a private message, because here is a conversation about sao ntr.
I used to argue with a few haters, I couldn't ignore it, but since 2021 I'm starting to ignore hate comments, posts and when I see something like this I only read out of curiosity. I argued the most with the person about the character of Hinata Hyuuga from Naruto, even the person linked the character of shyness to the real world. Do you read LN SAO?

This is all very well of course, but guys, I think this is starting to go a little beyond the discussion of Fujino and his game.

some vanilla/harem fans are complaining about the ntr in this game, which is kinda weird
People complain about NTR, under any NTR game. Unfortunately, it is inevitable. Even on ci-en they write and complain about NTR game authors about NTR in their games. "It's like people buying a hot dog, then coming back and complaining to the seller how unpleasant it was for them, and generally prefer pizza, but what's the logic?" You just have to ignore it.

in my opinion they complain because the game prevents Kirito from stopping Inoda's advance, as if something doesn't add up, they complain because they are forced to watch and suffer, they complain because there is always something to complain about xD
they complain because NTR is too hard and they prefer that even the bad guy suffers a fair punishment
anyway everyone complains:D

Does anyone know Fujino's next project after SAO? It would be cool to have a Tomo Chan is a Girl game for Fujino to work on... so far no one has tried to adapt it...

There are definitely a group of people that hate Kirito and the reasons tend to vary. Does he deserve their hate? Probably not, but when has that ever stopped haters from hating.
It's up to me, but Kirito alone represents sao's problems since he's its official face. I followed the anime from seasons 1 to 4 when they came out, and while it's certainly better in the LN, I find it pretty lame as time goes on. Arc 1 is cool, but after that it varies a lot, leading up (in my case) to the end of alicization with pitiful scriptwriting ease.

And I come back to my opening sentence, Kirito, it's the same thing. He's sympathetic at first, then more or less a pain in the ass as time goes by and, above all, he's a fucking gary-sue by the end of season 4. So, like a lot of shonen heroes, he's a pain in the ass for me. Combine that with the fact that he has a potential harem (purely theoretical considering he's loyal) including some of the most high-profile waifus (hello suguha fans) and you've got a character who's sometimes arrogant, strong at times for nothing and, what's more, incredibly lucky (sorry, but the pyjama party in season 4 is lunar).

So there you go, once again, that's just me. However, as an NTR fan, seeing Asuna get corrupted is a pleasure, but seeing Kirito finally lose something for real without the scenar helping him is a bonus that makes me happy.

PS: English isn't my native language so I'm going by deepl. Sorry if some idiomatic expressions don't work.

It's all fun and games, until you all realise truly what the next update will be. To be more exact, how big the file will be in the next update.

It's already way too big. But this update, there will be two months content. Best start praying that your pc will be able to handle it.

well, I personally didn't mind Kirito in anime and then, enjoying seeing Kirito lose someone makes no sense it's like getting revenge on him and for what? why is it annoying?
so I don't know if yours is a fetish or revenge because Kirito was annoying

I'll chime in here as a vanilla fan and non-NTR guy. First of all, I play this because I like seeing Suguha and Asuna and all the SAO girls in sexy situations, and that alone is enough for me to try it regardless of my dislike of the base story.

I don't like the story because: if Kirito is supposed to be 'me', and the whole story is about my woman being stolen away with nothing I can do about it (and by this scumbag, not even a real man)... what's the appeal of this? I don't get it. You have to be some kind of a masochist to jerk off to this. That's fine if that's you, but it's not me.

The other angle would have to be "I don't like Kirito and enjoy watching him lose Asuna", but that's not true for me either. I acknowledge he's a mary sue and kind of boring, but I'm not a hater. Not enough for me to enjoy watching a happy couple broken up by this loser.

So I would enjoy this story much more if there was a way I could make Kirito do something, anything to make things right for himself a little bit. That's why I hope for endings like Kirito dumping Asuna and jumping on Suguha, however unlikely they might be. I get that the pure NTR fans don't like it, but... this is a thread about the SAO game, not NTR.
