I'm having a really hard time agreeing with your point since this isn't this dev's first (or 2nd or even 3rd) rodeo. They know exactly what they are doing. Confidence on how to develop and progress the game really shouldn't be an issue so many years and completed games into doing it.
The counterargument here is that the slower the game progresses, the easier it is to lose lose interest in it. Even at an average of 2% per release in his previous games, NLT had been regularly accused of unnecessarily extending their games to a slow boring finish, typically starting at around the 2/3 mark. And let's all be frank here. NLT's strong suit is releasing content with decent graphics on a clockwork-like pace, not writing an engaging story. I shudder to think what unnecessary and outrageous scenes NLT will add to pad out the game at this even slower pace. And if all you care about are those pointless extra scenes are good and don't care about the story progression, you really should just go watch porn instead.
NLT isn't a single person. It's a team. Also, I've never ever suggested that anything can be done by metaphorically snapping fingers. I'm often the one to tell people to chill out and do something else instead of complaining about a long development cycle. All I'm saying is that the 2 year estimate for the completion of this game is not taking into account the slower progression of this game.
Nah your English is fine.
