Up to v.03083 save files go into the "save" folder in the SotS game's folder, but from v.04091 on it apparently changes to:

C:\Users\"Your username"\AppData\Local\SotS

Exactly If they are that desperate to play the game on Mac. They can just go support the dev and get access.

So what's the outlook on a patch? I would say the majority of you know what I'm asking here. Is the story malleable enough to make it work? Don't really want to invest the time playing if its not.

A patch wouldn't make sense story wise. And you're right, NLT is not really deserving of the name anymore.

Why patch this game when you have complete video walkthroughs. Just put go to saveedit to get what you want and you are all set.

NLT is open to many kinks. Hes said so on record. But what he would allow in his game vs what patreon allows are very different.

Patreon is also backed by big banks so the money is secure and safe
Othersites that all adult devs to earn from their work are not as well backed. So they are bigger risks.
NLT is looking after this own investment in his company and his employees
