Most likely this will happen sooner. And 2027 is not such a huge time frame for a game like SotS. Look at the development timelines for most highly rated projects and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Actually 2027 sounds about right. Going by NLT's history, which is mostly 2% releases until the end of the main story around 80% will take about 18 months from now, which takes us to fall of 2026. Subsequent 1% bonus releases will take another 10 months, taking us to about summer of 2027.

The 2027 line is a weird jab because, the fact a lot of the highest rated (ongoing) games on this site have been in development for 6-10 years, 3 years is also how long it took to make Treasure of Nadia and Genesis Order

So if anything, that's just NLT being consistent

As someone who worked in game development myself, I can only say: 3 years for a Indie-Game of this quality with such a small team is impressive, especially since these are not expert/veteran developers.

But NLT is expert and veteran too. He is in business about 10 years. And his team are also well known guys. But there are lot of smaller team with better cadence ,better plot...
His games are still good but previouse was better. He is kind of legend and what does he made with RPGM is unbelievable.
But overall everything is going downhill. Except for the effects

I recently rewatched the first two works. The protagonist might be the son of the masseur in the first part or the son of the police chief in the second part. Do you think it is possible?

Outside of one interview with RamseySheep, an animator. We dont know much about NLT's team, and the discord mods still say that most of the work is still done by NLT himself.

Anything is possible at this stage as we have no real clue. Only NLT knows

So I know that he has at least two contractors who already have quite successful own creations. Plus, there's that Disney guy. Already during ToN, information leaked that NLT is not just one person. It's also highly likely that the game is mostly finished at this point. That's why he can afford to give percentages of the whole.
I'm not denying that NLT has a major contribution to games. He just has perfect PR and keeps a lot of things under wraps.

You think SoTS is a done game, and hes just drip feeding the content? Why would he hold off from releasing the game on steam, where he makes his big bucks?

Have you ever thought, soon after you start the game, to click on CREDITS and see what comes up?
