My guess here is that the "side-girls" got some new scenes.
So basically something you have to unlock by grinding artifacts and buy "gifts" from the shop...

If you open the menu then on the top right it lists scenes, booty calls and extras.

For example my complete save says

Scenes 47/47
Extras 14/14
Booty Calls 5/5
Outfits 3/3

So if any of those is short of complete that will give you some idea of what your missing.

My guess is that you are missing the message in the desert which leads you to a photo - based on that seemed the more difficult thing to spot in this update.

Also, it is correct that if you speak to strangers they will give you clues to what is missing

So if it is the example above the stranger will say "Don't ignore hidden notes in the desert"

I'm always amazed how much they create in two weeks and that they always stick to the schedule.

In the IT world I work in, after two weeks we'd still be deciding when to have a meeting to plan when we are going to do the planning (planning the plan is a particular bugbear of mine - and I'm not joking, it seriously happens).
